It’s still crazy how differently each NFL team operates.

This is the Detroit Lions’ war room on draft day, 8 people in an otherwise empty room with a handful of cheap desks pushed together so 1 monitor and a few laptops can be propped up. The woman is the multibillionaire owner

Meanwhile, Philadelphia looks like they’re directing Seal team 6 located in the basement of the Yerevan parliament building in a coup d’etat attempt to overthrow the Armenian government in real time

Seems there is a lot of debate about who has the final say on the offense, will the get along re Siri vs. Moore.  My suspicion is that it's all Moore running the offense.

If that's the case, it feels the Eagles are on a collision course with a major problem.  If Hurts has an all-pro year leading an elite offense, Moore is going to instantly be near or at the top of the HC list.  In this scenario, who is more valuable to the Eagles....Moore...the guy who brought Hurts and the offense back....or Siri...the guy who doesn't do anything?

Moore, then he gets to hand pick his coordinator to help run it and call plays. Siri proved that his offense hit a wall and isn't the long term answer. If Moore goes, you can't constantly install a new offense. If Moore proves successful, I can't let him and his offense go out the door. Siri would have to go

Stott has done a nice job getting it going the last 10 days.  He will have his ups and downs hitting but he'll be fine.

On the left are the top 15 players on the 2020 Eagles that were 25 or younger.  My choices, sorted by age.  On the right is the same list for the current roster.

(I acknowledge that some 25 year old players will be 26 by the time the 2024 season starts.)

So they drafted two linebackers this year pretty high, Cooper round 2, Hopper round 3, while Quay was already on the roster from 2022 draft. That had me wonder just a bit if they may be open to moving him. If not him, hopefully Howie has some candidates of better quality.

Yea, I hear what you're saying but point I was trying to make is that I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that they use more of a true 3-4 with 4 LB on the field at a time and the addition of those LB to Walker just make their LB group that much stronger.

I could be totally wrong but that's how I viewed the Packers draft.

Yup.   Too good a hitter to stay down for long.  And right on cue today with a base knock.

Isn’t that most roasts?  The roasters and the audience get heat too.

TBF, I haven’t watched it. So if it was WAY skewed away from Brady, I’ll take that back. (And the dude doesn’t have a personality so I could see it going that way)

Idk maybe, I don't remember the old comedy central roasts being that way (or being 3 hours long) but it's been so long maybe they were.

At least for the portion I watched, there were more jabs at the audience than they were at Brady. Jeff Ross had a great opening where he dressed like OJ "cause I'm gonna kill this white B" and then proceeded to jab at the audience and talk about how great Brady was with a couple of jokes at him thrown in.

Only way this offense returns to elite status and sirianni isn't fired so they can keep moore is if they win the super bowl

Random pack of questions to kill the time in a dead period of football

1) Who will start at outside CB opposite Slay week 1?

2) Who will start at LB with Devin White?

3) Who will start at RG?

4) Who will win slot receiver job?

5) Will there be a conflict at any point in the season that is reported on by someone regarding Sirianni and Moore butting heads over the offense?

1. Quinyon Mitchell

2. Nakobe Dean

3. Meckhi Beckton

4. Ainias Smith

5. No because the offense will be a well oiled machine

Baldy said that the team is very happy with Steen this off season and that he has an excellent work ethic and has gotten much stronger.

Baldy also said that Darius Leonard was signing with the Cowboys. He's a clown who has about as much "Intel" as Caplan and Mosher.

Yea, Baldy was pushing the "Lane Johnson wants to play next to someone bigger” last year too and kept saying it wouldn’t be Jurgens. He just puts his spin on stuff randomly.

Wonder if Howie has another move in him before camp.

I would bet on it.  Probably a DL or possibly a safety, LB, TE or RB if the right one becomes available for cheap late free agency prices.

Well, the NFL is the ultimate business. I have all of those anyway with the exception of ESPN+.  And I don’t really need to watch every single game anyway.

Btw, I also wonder if they are staying in touch with Cox to gauge his potential interest in coming back in the second half of the season if they are making a playoff run to use as part of DT rotation or if someone gets banged up or Ojomo doesn’t step up.

It's not like Moore is this offensive guru and Siri has no experience in game planning and building an offensive scheme.

Moore will run the offense, but the scheme will be developed in conjunction and with oversight from Siri.

Siri may not be as much of an idiot as many seem to think…scheme wise anyway.  Yes, it’s just a guess, but that guess has me thinking he probably knows a bit more than many give him credit for.  His main failure may have been loyalty to Johnson.  I stress ‘may’ because, of course, we don’t know for certain.

I know.  But I was only able to find 15 dudes worth mentioning from 2020, so he didn't make the cut.

Ringo, Shipley, and Smith (our potential WR3) are 21, 21 and 22, respectively.  Also, AJ, Huff, CJGJ, and Devon White are currently 26.

It is an impressive collection of young roster talent.

Oh.  Trevor Keegan is only 23.  il_fullxfull.1411202511_961q.jpg

Why? We gave Barkley money. We don’t need to trade for and pay a backup RB $4M.

I don't agree there, he knew about Jordan Davis getting fines last year before anyone else. He doesn't have a ton of intel or perfect analogies but I enjoy listening to him mostly especially compared to the other crap out there.
