Couldn't care less about the golfer but the bodycam being off is a sign of the police not really wanting to be held accountable for their actions.  The argument that it was just traffic duty doesn't hold up because things they need on video happen all the time on traffic duty.

Not sure this is true. At big golf events, players are given special cars to make sure they aren't caught in traffic and can get to the course in a timely manner. If the officer involved didn't know this, and it sounds like he didn't, that could have had a significant impact on their interaction.

If you see an officer giving directions, you listen.  It's not hard.  It's only confusing if you're a self-centered a-hole.

It wasn't traffic duty it was an accident scene and they were directing traffic. I don't like the fact the officer didn't have on a body cam.  My guess is that Scheffler ignored or did not pay attention to the officer.  The officer then likely over reacted.  Certainly, trying to stop a moving vehicle with your body is a stupid move.

Scheffler said it was a misunderstanding and apologized. Also, you do realize that the guy was dressed exactly like 100 parking attendants, right? How was Scheffler supposed to know it was a cop?

He's literally driving a car that is specifically marked so that he can easily enter and leave the tournament site, and he's right next to the entrance of the tournament site. Can you wrap your head around the fact that he's probably not expecting some random person to suddenly start yelling at him for doing the same thing he has done thousands of times before in his career?

The writing was on the wall 3 years ago it wasn’t happening for them.

The sixers have 2 fatal flaws.  One is that the team is hot garbage after its two best players.  While they have the resources to soften that reality this summer, they don’t have the resources to really change it.

2 is that Embiid objectively cannot and will not carry them in the playoffs.

We can enjoy the ride each year, but it’s a ride to nowhere.  We’ve known it for years now.

They have one fatal flaw - Josh does not really understand sports, other than wrestling which he did in high school.

So he apologized? No crime committed! Scheffler has the burden in following directions.  It's not a defense to say he wasn't paying enough attention to notice it was a cop. I hope he goes to prison. Priveleged people deserve less leeway when they commit crimes.  It should be an aggravating factor.

Someones going to be very upset when all charges get dropped tomorrow.

Do unsigned rookies still show up to OTA's? I don't remember, they usually are all signed by now.

Pretty sure training camp is when they need to be signed to attend. Think they can attend OTAs and mini camps unsigned, unless that’s changed.

Why do you hate the police?

Yep.  There is a Rookie Participation Agreement in the CBA.  If they have not already signed and they get injured during any activities prior to TC they are guaranteed the contract they would have received if not injured.

DeJean signed.

Hold on.  Take directions regardless?  Police power is not that encompassing.  Scheffer was given conflicting directions per some news reports.  So which officer should he have listened to?

Let's combine the best of both and play this when he makes a big play. Kind of like the Lido Shuffle when Lito would make a play.

I really, really hate OTA tweets like this. How is Joe Milton going to be a problem? What about this video even makes you think it's a good idea to put this out there? Any QB D2 and up is making this throw to a jogging WR, with no defense, during warm ups.

The guy jumped onto his vehicle. Unless he was going to hit someone,  which wasn't the case, he escalated things to a ridiculous level. Get the tags and give him a ticket later. That's 100% on the LEO.

I don't know if the guy is ever going to amount to anything, but if he does, you can tell he's going to be one of the core leadership guys. Quite the personality.
