We’re used to thinking of Republican moderates as nice people from blue states or swing districts, who speak in dulcet tones and oppose going "too far” on anything.  These politicians still exist, but the image of the Republican moderate is out of date. Trump isn’t moderate in tone. But if the definition of a moderate or centrist is being in the middle of a political party, that’s Trump.

Well, to be honest, I haven't looked into Platner very much but it might very well be the case that I won't like him. No matter, we are WAY beyond the point of no return on this thing. I might very well not want to support Platner but I will do so now that he is the Dem candidate as the only thing that matters at this point is that MAGA is removed from power thru the normal election process and Platner is important in making that happen in terms of control of the Senate. So no, you can't be against MAGA/Trump and not want the Dem (any Dem) to win a Senate seat. I can not like Platner and not support him generally but still want him to win AND it has nothing to do with the Dem Party.

I am anti-Trump and also don't support Platner. I'm not going to support socialism and disastrous economic policies that would ruin our nation just because Trump is awful. Susan Collins is fine.

Susan Collins means a Rep Senate, which means no oversight of the administration and more Trump appointed fascist judges. Platner's preferred economic policies have literally no effect on anything. Not that it matters what either one of us support since we don't live in Maine.

Planter's biggest sin is that he's a democrat who is probably going to take a republican seat away. They always find something. They rheeeed about Fetterman non stop until he started voting with Trump most of the time. Now they love him. And he's brain damaged. Planter had a scary tattoo once which he's since covered and sent some sexy texts to some ladies a few times. People like procus have never talked to a girl before, so they find the idea of that scary too.
