Just the party - not representative of the country, certainly.

Oh thank God. I was worried the President buying public stakes in private companies was leading us towards Communism. Thankfully it's just one party being led by a mime in Brooklyn.

Trump? Looks like socialist candidates trying to clear the field.

The FBI used a Democrat insider as an informant to infiltrate Governor Gavin Newsom’s inner circle before the corruption probe expanded into the governor and his wife Jennifer Newsom.

Recall that Newsom’s former chief of staff, Dana Williamson, was indicted on federal wire fraud charges last year.

They're kicking out the old guard. It's a good thing. Sometimes messy, but ultimately good. And, to be fair, we're talking about a handful of races. There've been plenty of establishment Dems replaced in their primaries by moderate Dems. The only common thread is that Dems want fighters who have no desire to "work with the other side". As they should. The other side is 100% fascist.

Adding in strong fighters and younger people who are sane and charismatic is fine. On the other hand, empowering the fringy leftist types is a problem and there is simply no margin for error at all. This is "hold the neck down" time. No more own goals like the trans in sports crap or the defund the police slogan crap.

It's completely fine with me if NY city wants to send a couple DSA reps to Congress. Or if Denver wants to send a DSA rep to Congress. Again, we're talking about 3 inner city races here and they're people that represent what their constituents want. The important part is that none of them ever intend on working with the Republican Party and hammer down on balance of power solutions.

The problem isn’t sending a DSA rep from NYC but rather having a central national figure like Mandani involved and endorsing candidates with very extreme views. Yes, he is a national figure at this point even if he only technically has power in NYC.

The Mayor NYC endorsed a NYC Congressional candidate? When will this madness stop?

Nice attempt to avoid the topic

I'm not avoiding the topic. You're worried that the Mayor of NY endorsed candidates. That's kind of a weird thing to be worried about.

That’s a really stupid take and you know it. Were there other Dem candidates? Was he forced to endorse candidates with such extreme positions? The problem isn’t him endorsing candidates but rather him endorsing those candidates. But of course you know that’s the point I’m making.

I'm not F'ing with you dude. You seem to be surprised that the Democratic Socialist NYC Mayor endorsed 2 Democratic Socialist candidates in the NY Rep primary. He wasn't forced the endorse them, but they're all DSA so it's certainly not surprising. It's also not a big deal unless you're addicted to right wing media.

What makes you think I’m surprised? Doesn’t surprise me one bit. After all we are talking about the Dem Party. What is surprising is how you seem to think it is just fine for the current leading Dem figure to endorse candidates who make such radical statements as those three. Thats the kind of action that multiplied x50 leads to losses in Nov and in ‘28 and in a moment historically where mistakes are simply not allowed. The stakes are too high.

You'll have to remind me what radical statements these people have made that's not just calling for more social programs. They're socialists, just like Mamdani. Obviously, they want more social programs. Not sure if they've come out and endorsed something quite as radically socialist as the government taking stake in Intel or all the AI companies, but they've definitely pushed plenty of social programs. But again, we're talking about 3 house seats, not the Presidency.

Ok, I’ll post a few for you over the weekend.

Doc, why are you wasting your valuable time arguing with a radical leftist like @VanHammersly ?

Because it is imperative that everyone from the center right to the left align enough to strike a fatal blow to MAGA and the idiots like you in the country who are actively destroying it and throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Was that message posted from someone living in Sweden or the U.S.?

That was posted by a tax paying US citizen born and raised in the US to US citizens with roots going back at least to the middle 1800s.

I guess if you can find one avowed communist among a party the only option is fascism.

Yeah and since it’s only one we should all be endorsing that candidate over other Dems.
