Barho begging for my opinion in one thread, Paul always questing for tiny tidbits of my personal life. Are libtards OK?

I just want you to tell me you have cows/chickens/pigs, grow your own produce, build you own cars/electronics and will absolutely not be impacted by the high prices coming America's way

Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

I think even the most optimistic Trump supporters new there would be short term economic consequences in the effort to bolster American manufacturing. The long term benefits will outweigh any short sighted pain you might be feeling (which is why both parties have been running on this concept for years now). Trump is just the only politician to actually follow through with it. And, shockingly, we're already seeing it pay dividends.

Uh huh.  Totally going to work out. Keep that energy going. "Short-term economic consequences" when the one article you have so far has the actual work happening in 2028.

At what point do you admit being wrong? Never?

Which won't occur until 2028.  And they say its due to the planned tariffs.  Which means that when the tariffs go away (unless your thinking that these become PERMANENT tariffs), they could likely shift back to the original plan of production in Mexico.

Yeah, dude, the infrastructure it takes to manufacture products takes a long time to develop. Did you think Trump would say "tariffs," snap his fingers, and multi-billion dollar plants would just spring up out of the ground? Three years is actually a great turnaround for something like this.

Tariffs get announced. A month later a major automobile company announces they'll be building a manufacturing plant in the US instead of Mexico in a few years.

and who do you think will pay the increased production costs to have them manufactured in the US vs Mexico sans tariffs?

the consumer.

the consumer always pays for the tariffs. even when the tariffs are being skirted they impact the cost.

There is absolutely nothing good about these tariffs. They should just stick to "I didn't think he'd actually do it" and move on.

Totally, I mean look at that Foxconn plant in Wisconsin he promised during his first term. Such a smashing success that Foxconn backed out of the agreement 3 years later and it never got built. Winning!

I thought someone else was gonna pay for this
