Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

Trumpstein would say that’s well under 3 bucks, so you’re already seeing the tariff economy working for the American people. Don’t worry about food, America is too obese anyways.😅

Reminds me of when oil prices went negative due to Covid and Trumptards tried to retroactively use that as evidence of Trump keeping gas prices low roll

Well, a catastrophic demand reducing event coupled with the Saudis tanking more oil than Asian ports could handle to cause Russian pipelines to be backed up didn’t happen under Biden or Obama, now did it?

The bottom half of the country getting hit the hardest with consumption taxes and still voting for him en masse because they don't understand the meaning of the word "tariff" is kinda hilarious if I'm being honest.

Huge tax increases for small business and gov'mint forced organic Coca Cola? I swear to Gawd that was considered COMMUNISM for decades in here 😄

Incoming trump post: Do people really even need to be eating so much beef

so if the "manufacturers" are eating the cost (which they almost certainly are not, at least not long-term), then we're arguing that tariffs are a tax on the manufacturer?

is that somehow better?

"It's better because the tariffs are paid by the other country! Why can't you understand basic economics?"

I work in grocery retail and we have been eating the costs as of right now but wont be long before we dont do that anymore

Listen, Trump knows what he's doing. It's not his fault the woke left can't do math.

Trump is bringing back auto manufacturing by putting 50% tariffs on the production inputs, while keeping foreign competition out by putting 15% tariffs on Japanese cars.

Not sure why the graph decided to show all of those years and have the last date shown as Oct 2024. It looks like grocery prices rose quite a bit during the last administration, which makes it a strange post by the democrats to post this. It’s probably why they deleted the tweet. Posting a graph from Jan 2025 through today probably would’ve been better, especially since July 2024 through Jan 2025 can be attributed towards the prior administration.

It's the Dems. They can't help but trip over their own feet.

This is why, after these "massive" deals the market was flat yesterday and is now down today. Trump is a joke.

also....gasoline futures are skyrocketing.
