August 1Aug 1 They revised all the previous reported numbers way down and July only had 73,000 jobs added.Looking more and more like we're exiting the period of uncertainty for businesses when they were willing and able to absorb the increased costs in hopes that Trump would make some sort of deal that's good for them. It's becoming pretty clear that there will be a long-term increase of 15-20% in the cost of doing business across the board and that cost is now filtering its way to consumers.

August 1Aug 1 Faith in BLS statistics drives trillions of dollars of investment in the US economy. This is the kind of thing that the media probably won't report on much but might be one of the most negatively impactful things Trump has done in either of his tenures. It's not good.
