We actually bought the stock around $4 last year when they announced a refinancing, rode it to $3, then sold between $7 and $10 at the end of last year. We just bought back in small sub 6. They still aren't growing, but they have cut out a ton of costs and become very profitable. Old management was dumb -- they thought the COVID bounce was sustainable as opposed to simply being a massive pull forward of demand. Yeah, I remember it being all the rage about 5 years ago. I was seriously considering a Peloton treadmill at one point (even when they were eating kids) but went in another direction.

Those are much more enjoyable to me but as far as a pure workout it's hard to beat peddling a bike while a gay man yells encouragement to you over 90s pop hits.

March 12Mar 12 Author I used to run a good bit. Four or five times a week and 6-10 miles a pop. Think that was the best for me and I did a good bit of spinning and played a ton of basketball as well. One nice part about the spinning in live classes was that there were always a few nice ladies in tight gear to help with the motivation.

March 12Mar 12 Author Welp, so much for Canada backing down. Tariffs against the US to be implemented.

Less enjoyable, but objectively consistently higher heart rate and subjectively much more muscle sore after a peleton workout. Now some of that might just be ADHD related when I'm exercising and left to my own devices. But I'd argue very few people have the discipline and planning to interval train as consistently on their own outside than with direction on a stationary bike.

March 12Mar 12 Me driving past all you losers doing cardio while I go to lift weights like a real man.
March 12Mar 12 On the topic of shin splints though, I have horrible hip rotation and I overpronate like an ape. I’ve found that stability control running shoes do a pretty decent job of mitigating the shin splints when I do run. That and paying attention to getting my knees angled right.

March 12Mar 12 6 minutes ago, Paul852 said: Why not both? I’m more of a HIIT guy when it comes to cardio. Back in my LE days I used to run three miles a day and do aerobics, but that’s kinda boring. For whatever reason doing sprints and lifting weights appeals to me more.

The new tariffs cover steel and aluminum, as well as other U.S. goods including computers, sports equipment and cast iron products, Canadian Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc said. The new Canadian duties are on top of the 25% counter-tariffs that Ottawa already slapped on $30 billion worth of U.S. goods.

Outside riding has periods where you can coast -- downhill and flat road. There's constant resistance on an indoor bike. Don't be mad because your broke arse can't afford a Peloton. If I may, and I'm not sure how into exercise you are, but an ergometer (i.e rowing machine) is a more intense workout than a bike. We have both an indoor bike and the erg. And the workouts I get on the erg are significantly more intense than on the bike. The erg works your whole entire body, especially if you're doing it right. So, if you are looking for a change of pace or an addition to your workouts, and you're looking for a biggest bang for your buck type of deal in terms of time spent vs output, I highly recommend getting an erg.

We had a rowing machine -- a Hydrow. I really just didn't like it. I'm all Peloton for now -- 6 days a week, 80 mins a day. I do Power Zone training, so it's all mathematical, which appeals to my sensibilities.
