There's no Caribbean vacation in my future until they are both out of college.

Our house and both cars are paid off, and we get to take some nice vacations here and there. It helps that the 6 kids we have between the two of us, are adults and financially independent from us. It just a little unnerving being so close to retirement, and watching sheet burn down.

April 3Apr 3 is it kind of weird that kz has only posted sparsely in the illegal immigration thread and avoided this thread like the english avoid a dentist?

It’s about 20 years old and I would like to preemptively replace it this year, before it breaks down when it’s freezing next winter.

I almost replied to him in that thread to see what's going on but I already dug up an old post from him in this one so he knows he has a post waiting for him to reply to.

Mine was showing it's age, it works but i could see its age in my energy use. . I also had a diverter not working which made keeping consistent temps throughout the house difficult. New stuff going in next week, and I'm tapping out for at least a few years. I can't complain too much, I'm entering my 5th year in the home and I didn't do a thing to it for the first couple years. I didn't even paint lol, the previous owners had pretty good taste. The past two years we have done a lot, new everything, and I'm more tired of all the people coming to the house all the F'ing time than I am of paying for it.
