This dumb **** pulls out a chart. I guess it fits the target audience of high school dropouts watching Fox

Unfortunately those poorly educated (mostly whites) were one of the primary reasons he won.

Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

The island of St. Pierre, with a population of 5,800, got tagged with a 99% tariff rate.

So, what had happened was they previously bought $3.5m worth of US made high voltage electrical equipment that was later returned for repair, which got counted as an export.

In a news release accompany a disappointing Whirlpool earnings report in January, Whirlpool chair and CEO Marc Bitzer said the company would look to cut $200 million in costs "and position our business for the eventual U.S. housing recovery."

Looks like this was something they had in mind since the earnings report in January.  I’m sure the current state doesn’t help, but this seems due to 2024 actuals.

Well, China has now retaliated. VIX just exploded to over 40.

Today might be shaping up to be a black Friday for the books.

Lost the **** guy

VIX high of COVID was around 65. We're currently at 44.

3-4% drops in Europe, everything just swung south upon the Chinese announcement

Of course, anyone looking to retire in the next couple of years might just be plain out of luck 🙄.

Bollox 🤦‍♂️.

Luckily I've probably got a job for as long as i need one right now.

That's me.  I've literally just entered a semi-retirement period and I wasn't expecting to have to work full time again.

These people deserve everything they have coming to them.

Ah mate, i hope this doesn't mess up your plans, we work long enough.

I’m in the same effing boat. I took a 45% pay cut last November to go back to an old job because it’s 10 min from home, and only 40hrs a week unless I want OT. I was hoping to go to even less hours sometime next year but that isn’t looking good.

Yeah, I'm glad to be a bit away from retirement but I feel bad for people who are close. Even with safe investments the US dollar will likely lose a lot of value and prices are going to shoot up. People will need to keep working.

Now your post here drives home how good we have it over here.

I'm not paid anything like some of you guys on here, who seem to be making seeeerrouiss money 👍.

But we have enough.

The hours you guys put in though.

Think I'm contracted to 38 hrs a week and we do 40.

So those extra 2 hrs we get back every 4 weeks as an accrued day - 13 extra days leave each year.

It's really not that bad and tbh, time off is more important to me than money now.

Really hope you get to reduce your hours if it works for you 🤞

As I said to @DrPhilly, we spend enough of our lives working.

Amazing things are happening.
