There will be a huge rebound in the near term and then they'll all be on to the next outrage the TV tells them about. No biggie.

Bro, you were in here lapping it up when the market had a brief downturn on page 1. This is 10 times worse and now you want to act logical? You are not a serious person.

Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

How many shares of Amazon can you get per chicken?

Trump has already lowered egg prices so much that he's destroyed my side hustle.

considering the price of eggs, 20, but that's dropping.

Too late, you already got called on the grammatical error. You're toast.

You mean I now have to wait until tomorrow's 1500 point drop to get a meme?

I just know there are a lot of mind-bogglingly wealthy people that post here and if I can get them to buy stock we can turn this thing around and turn it into a win for Trump. Together.

If you want real, helpful advice on when to buy instead of listening to your 8chan and daily stormer idiot cult members pretend to know what they're talking about, then let me know and I'll be happy to help.

He might have already. But one of the immutable truths about Trump, and the MAGA movement as a whole, is it's ruled by their insecurity.

Diehard will never publicly cop to a mistake after he's been dragged by the rest of us. You can only hope he's being honest with himself.

Here’s my only thing with this.  Dems and unions were saying this in the late 80s and early 90s when NAFTA was being negotiated.  It wasn’t like people weren’t saying manufacturing jobs would disappear.  They were.  But also, manufacturing jobs had been disappearing for two decades before NAFTA.  They aren’t coming back just because of tariffs.

I can't think of any other time, NAFTA or otherwise that we've had a president press our advantage to this point. To my knowledge we've never operated on equal tariffs with trading partners. We don't even have an agreement with the UK since BREXIT.

The US will not be the super power without a stronger manufacturing base. That's a reality. Can't war without one.

Guess that was the reason for the bounce.

If Trump had a room temperature IQ he'd recognize the offramp he's being given to end tariffs and shift the blame for his policy failures on Congress.

I can count no less than five factually incorrect conclusions you've made in these three sentences.

Caved? Those tariffs were based on surplus/deficit. Literally nothing has changed.

They offered to go back to tarrif levels before Trump escalation in his first term.

That being said, it's a phenomenal deal and Trump should take it in a heartbeat. Yeah, you'll look like an idiot. But at least you'll keep your money.

Yeah, but if you're liquid, it's a fantastic time to buy knowing it's going to rebound in the near term. Everything's on sale. I love it.

The U.S. and EU came close to scrapping industrial tariffs a decade ago in their discussions of the TTIP — the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership — that was ultimately scuppered by Trump in his first term.
