This is true, and if he didn't have a history of overpaying for players midseason that don't fit with the coaches' vision, I wouldn't care.  But, he traded for an EDGE that couldn't sniff the field - Avery.  He traded for a slot WR that didn't fit the offense - Tate.  Recently traded for a TE that sits on the roster, but can't be activated.  And now we have Dotson who runs around a lot pre-snap, but can't buy a target.  

I suppose if we count preseason trades, he did a nice job bringing in CJGJ in 2022.

Easily forgettable in terms of his contributions!   Good memory.   Just seems like Howie doesn't talk to the coaches before making those moves.  

I think we can all agree, time to move on from Slay/Bradburry/Maddox and focus on retaining/developing Rodgers, Ringo, Mitchell, and DeJean. 
 

Focusing on adding an actual premier edge rusher who isn’t tiny. Veteran DL depth and a stud LBer.

The real key was when Fangio went to a 5-2 as the base with Davis as the NT. Can't run on that formation but the DEs/OLBs can line wide enough to wreck havoc against the pass.

Since then teams haven't been able to run consistently and they still can get pressure out of a base formation. Smith, Huff and Sweat have all raised their game since then.

Dean looks better and better, will always struggle in space to some extent, but reading things faster and explodes downhill.

Burrows was pinpoint accurate to start the game, but Fangio basically stuck to his guns and said do that for 4 quarters without a mistake. Brought a little pressure but nothing unusual for him. Burrows needs more help, did everything he could to win this game, but the Eagles were simply the better team.

Makes a big difference having CB quality and depth, Slay, Mitchell, Blankenship, CJGJ, then Rodgers off the bench with Ringo, McCollum, Brown and Ricks in reserve.

Kudos to the backups, Johnson and Steen, although Steen had two drive killing penalties, Hurts managed to salvage a FG and TD. Otherwise the OL was great.

I think both sides of the ball are finally getting comfortable with the new schemes.

I can't believe that we are already pretty much at the midway point of the season.

We really went on the road and were flat-out better than the Bengals. Burrow was awesome and the only reason the game was close. 

Cinci very much had a top 10 offense through most measures and we made them work for everything.

I give credit to the Eagles defense in the second half are playing much better. And they did the job that they needed to do.

However, it’s not that unusual that the Bengals scored 17 points without Higgins. With Higgins this year they are averaging 28.6. With Higgins out they’re averaging 17.5. So they’re right at what their averages are without Higgins.

 

Has Q given up a TD yet?

Yeah, I've used that before, but rooting against one is also rooting for the other... unless you're rooting for a tie and that can come back to bite us too.
