Chase Young is my prediction if we make a trade.  Shouldn't have to give up a ton.

He'd be pretty disappointing tbh

Hell no

If they do look for a trade deadline move at DE, my money is on Carl Granderson.

Saints in freefall.

He had 1.5 sacks in that game versus Eagles.

Only has 3 sacks on the year. But those came in first three games.

Feels like a Howie move.

If I'm 2-6 with you, just how valuable are you to me?  I can lose just as well with anybody else.  Your value becomes what you can bring back.

In MLB it's more abstract; prospects often flame out.  In the NFL a few high draft picks are more valuable if you can draft well.

Unless someone gives up a ransom, I'm not letting an elite pass rusher walk out the door.

Is Omar the greatest character in TV history?

Top five for sure.

He's definitely top 5. The Wire is my all-time favorite show.

Mine too.

Ozark, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are all better than The Wire.

No, nearly, and no. Ozark in particular was terrible. Much better were The Sopranos; Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy; and In Living Color.

and Deadwood.

They are all great.  The Wire was a little different in that each season had a distinct theme.  Whereas the other three were basically the continuation of a single narrative.

BCS was my favorite.  It had the burden of being both a prequel and sequel, and it delivered.

Ozark was that horse drawing meme across all seasons

This truly isn't a shot at Hurts, because he was great. It's just something I looked into:

He had a three game stretch (also middle to end of October) last season that was similar to this one...and then he fell apart. Throughout his career, October is far and away his best month while November - January he's barely above .500 as a QB

Now this could all mean absolutely nothing and just be a total coincidence, but I am curious to see if that trend continues. Hopefully it won't.

I think it means nothing. I said back in the summer and during training camp that the Eagles would start slow, and then figure it out as the year goes on this year.  The opposite of last season.

Eagles were coming off a Super Bowl loss and had two new coordinators.  Jalen Hurts was not even the worst part of the collapse last year. The defense was far, far worse.  New coaches can put lipstick on a pig for only so long if they are not the right ones.  The longer the season went, the more their miss-casting showed.

Teams that start slower, but finish strong are more the sign of the right coaches being in the building.  A lot of Andy Reid’s teams have been this way.

I think taking a small stretch of games from last year in a vacuum, means absolutely nothing

Super Bowl era.  Min 50 games.

Saw that… this is why hiring people from a coach’s tree is not the same thing as hiring the actual coach.  They may know the philosophy, but they do not have the innate instincts of how to adapt accordingly.

I just can’t stand Jason Bateman. And the trashy girl…well, I turned it off with no regrets.

Now Justified is worthy, especially season two with Margo Martindale as Mags. Pure gold. The scene with the two women in the diner is an all-timer.

They still need to figure out how to best leverage Dejean’s talents.  Right now, the need is clearly in the slot.  Long term?  Maybe he’s an inside CB.  I don’t know.  But he’s so versatile you can’t forget to use him where he’s best.

Looks like hes doing just fine where he is

I thought Jason was great in it. The trashy girl did become annoying very quickly. Actually his whole family did too

Agreed.  I don't see him as an island corner like Mitchell looks to be.

His versatility and physicality makes him more valuable closer to the QB.

I sort of agree with you regarding Ozark… but I admit I have not given it a full chance yet.  I quit watching after a couple episodes of the season 2.  I was pretty engaged through the first season, I don’t remember hating the beginning of season 2, I just remember it not grabbing me as much.  Many times I have thought I need to go back to the beginning and just commit myself to finish it… so I can fairly judge it and its entirety.

Lastly, it's time to move on from Maddox as in get him off the roster. Let Sydney Brown or Kelee Ringo be the Dime DB. Maddox is a weak link and gets exposed every time he's on the field. They are going to need a roster spot for Mailata in 2 weeks. Maybe Driscoll is cut and put back on the PS? Maddox just hurts this team.

Not sure why maddox was ever brought back, he was pretty awful last year then has been bad this year, was zero reason to bring him back, zero reason to keep him around
