Golden Jacket here we come

Why are we comparing a G to a C?

The problem is the weight. Stout wants tackle-size guards. The only position he's fine with undersized guys is center.

What about Stormy?

Weren't there tweets a day or so ago saying he's holding the ball for 3-4 seconds?

I think that's a bit of a reach.  This offense has still been trying to find it's identity, but I think we may have found it.

Whelp. Guess that answered how long he was benched for

Six months until the 2025 Draft in Green Bay.

OT, Edge, and TE in any order over days 1 & 2.

kind of think irsay had some say into this. I didn’t like Richardson coming out and thought it was way too big of a risk but better off letting Richardson finish the year to see if he improves and what he exactly is so can just completely move on or not. I’m guessing he’s done in Indy as i bet he asked to be traded after the season. Curious to see if any team gives up anything for him to take a chance on him.

Shouldn’t have been playing in the Olympics considering what’s coming out now

Had to laugh at this from the Cowboys boards.  Inside the thread titled "How Bad Is The Running Game?” are these golden nuggets:

——

”In 7 games, out of 152 running attempts, the Cowboys have 10 plays that went 10 or more yards. Four of them belonged to a WR. The longest run from scrimmage so far this season is 13 yards.

Five RB's have now carried the ball for the Cowboys. Only one of them averages more than 3.1 yards a carry.

In the 1st half of games on 1st and ten, no Cowboys RB averages more than 3 yards a carry. Again, we are talking about 1st and ten only.

Inside the redzone, the Cowboys average .6 yards a carry.....as in six tenths of a yard......as in less than 2 feet....as in less than 22 inches.....a carry.

There are 9 RB's drafted in the past three years, in the 4th round or lower, that are currently averaging 5 or more yards per carry this season.

Currently, the Cowboys are ranked 32nd in rushing yards, 32nd in average yards per run, 31st in rushing TD's and 28th in average length of time per drive.

About a third of all Cowboys running plays by RB's went for 1 yard or less.

Only the Cowboys 1-15, 1989 season had fewer rushing yards after 7 games.

Only the Cowboys 2005 season averaged less yards per carry after 7 games”

8 out of the top 9 in Defensive YPG are from the AFC.

I would need to do a deeper dive into it but just on simply points for, 1 team in the afc over 200 (bills). NFC has 5 teams over 200.

Credit to Jalen for turning it around. Obviously there’s some things he still needs to work on, but he has been much better at not turning the ball over or even having a fumble. To me that was the biggest issue they had besides just getting guys healthy. The Eagles with as much talent as they have on offense, if you just take care of the ball then you’re gonna be able to score points.

The rare punter content you've been waiting all week for.

Colts are rightly cursed after screwing up Luck

Pure organizational mismanagement.  They signed 39 year-old Philip Rivers to QB the team in 2020 rather than draft a QB.  Brissett was their starter in 2019 and clearly wasn't good enough, to the point the Colts brought in an aging (aged) veteran as a stop-gap.  They traded away their first round pick that year to SF for DeForest Buckner.

They used pick #34 in that draft on Michael Pittman and #41 on Jonathan Taylor.  Could have drafted either Jordan Love or Jalen Hurts if they'd focused on a long term answer at QB.

Rich but not smooth

I know Steichen yesterday said this was a decision he made but this feels like a irsay wants Flacco as gives him best chance to win now and keep fans coming out as fans seem to be down and out on Richardson based on his performance.

That's the whole point of the kickoff is to make it more difficult for the kickers. For some reason, teams have just said F it, take the ball at the 30, rather than trying to put the ball in the landing zone. If they do that, the kickoff improves drastically. Still not dynamic, but using the rules to your advantage works.

The guy in the vid is wrong. It was absolutely not accidental. I posted a few times about this. I saw him practicing it during the pre-game warm ups of the Atlanta game. Its a tool in his bag.
