Richardson only has 10 starts.  He may still be the long term solution for the Colts, but I think the benching was appropriate. Maybe him sitting behind Flacco for the remainder of the year will do him so good.

Normally I’d agree with your side but Richardson didn’t play all that much in college. He started just 13 games in college. and 10 starts in past two years. Meaning since 2020 he’s started 23 games. I think he needs the reps to get better at this point and work through things. He was always super raw so you knew it was going to take him more time then most rookies to work through things.

tbh colts were the worst team to go to cause their owner irsay is super impatient and can fly off the handle at any point in time. I’d have been fine letting Richardson sit last year and have him be the starter this year. But they went all in to start him last year when he likely should’ve been learning then.

It was looking like Brian Thomas and Gabe Davis would both miss the game Sunday, but now it seems like both may play? Hard to tell.

They should have redshirted him from the start.

Instead they got him injured early which stunted his development and now they’re benching him which will mess with him psychologically.

Everyone knew he wasn’t ready to start from day one. That was his entire scouting report. One of the highest upside prospects ever because of his athleticism and size, but he needed a TON of work before he would be NFL ready.

Just terrible player development by the Colts.

Dickerson said he has a wrist injury that will probably require surgery after the season.

 

 

Those photos really illustrate how they got the colors wrong last year. Compare the green in Cunningham/Hurts photo and try to say they're the same shade. You can't.
