I don't get tired of describing the team as I see them.   They are better than they were down the stretch last year, over the past 3 weeks.  Last year's team lost to the lowly Cardinals.  Recently this team showed that they wouldn't lose to a team like that.   But, they need to prove it again Sunday.  Jax is on that list too.   Eagles need to handle their business again.   But, right now, I can't say that they are a legit contender.   They are trending that way, but they aren't there yet.   And yes, I am dealing with PTSD from last year.  (and other years)

I’m not the oldest person in the blog, but I turn 56 in about a month and I’ve been an Eagles fan for a year shy of 5 decades.  I think that makes me qualified for PTSD when it comes to the birds.  So yeah… I understand that part.  

I will say the 2017 championship eased the pain a bit.  

It’s not often that an NFL team with a new coach, and new QB gets back to that game 5 years later.  So I suppose I just look at things more glass half full rather than half empty in comparison to the previous decades that I had to endure.  

So yeah, I do get it. Sometimes it’s just a matter of perspective.  And everyone views things differently.  It doesn’t make me right and you wrong, or the other way around.  Sometimes I fail to realize that.

I watched Flacco talking to the Colts press guys about Richardson’s benching.  I get the feeling from his comments that the two of them don’t really speak to each other

It’s an awkward situation. I can’t really think of two QBs who seemed buddy-buddy when the backup was clearly better than the assumed starter. I’m sure Flacco is trying to teach him the ropes to a degree, but in his mind he’s still a legit starter and isn’t primarily a mentor. And he has a right to feel that way considering he took Cleveland to the playoffs last year and is still a good quarterback at almost 40.

Cowboys fans really down this week, first they had to watch them lose to the Niners and then they had to watch their Yankees lose the Dodgers.

No secret in these parts I'm a diehard Braves fan having grown up in south Georgia.

He may not be nor never be Montana or Brady but dude's a gamer who just knows how to win.  I know he gets a lot of hate for everything he isn't but we have to appreciate who he is.  I like the guy, his committment to be better, his focus and his lead by example attitude.

I think the new ones are closer to the old than some of you do. I really feel like the old materials changed the shade (of green) more with different light than today's materials.

Another thing to consider would be the conditions and time the game is played. Night vs. day games the color looks different. It looks different in a dome vs outdoors. Lastly, camera technology from the 80s and 90s isn't the same as today's super high quality.

With all that being said, the current shade is too bright, especially the helmet. 

Night game current KG vs day game old KG. The current looks more like Eric Allen's sleeves.

He's not very likeable. But I do like that he finally played well for 1 game.
