Right. It never looks the same. I think it's closer than we think, but the shade still isn't right.

I think it may have as much to do with the fabric as the color.  The jerseys now have a different sheen and they appear different in different light.  The color in the late 80's and 90s was a more muted tone more than a different shade.

Just throwing this name out there because I was a huge fan in college. Nick Bonito. Would be a great piece here.

The comedy of the Dak omission aside, if you're a professional football player who is actually on the field every week, how are you rating a player in the top 5 that you've never actually played against in person??

He's just trolling right? Helmet yes. Jersey no.

Just peeked at his stats. He is having a great season. Six sacks and a bunch of TFLs.

Not sure that the Broncos at 5-3 would want to lose him.

Maybe I'm just a grump, but when did there become a market for grown men to watch other grown men watch a sport and react? I see these kinds of posts all the time and never once have I said I have to click that and watch. Didn't even watch this, just copied and paste to share.

It's fun.

Don't you enjoy every January when Dallas Cowboy fans record themselves destroying their TVs?

Does Jalyx Hunt contribute anything this season?

Or is it more of a learning on the job year for him?

Hope he develops into a solid player. The tools are there.

Conversely, there were more than a few dudes that I wanted over him at that pick.

He's gonna make a lot of plays along with Trotter when they rest starters preparing for the playoffs. :smoke:

It's a good game to rest Goedert and Slay.

If the Eagles can't beat the Jags without them, they're not going very far this season.

Just like a person that never played a day of football in their life can rate a player. Just opinion.

The Broncos are not sellers at this point… I see a lot of people assuming this is still 2023.

I heard somebody suggest Buddha Baker the other night on a podcast.  I thought I timed-warped back 12 months.  That would make zero sense at this point.

I don't think anything is going to top the "Eagles are trading for Cooper Kupp" talk.

Very true…

I have an eagles hat I wear everywhere, and it always startles me when people shout "Go Birds” at me

I usually reply "thank you” or "you too” out of reflex before remembering I should repeat it

From Fowler's column yesterday.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/42073292/nfl-week-9-buzz-news-updates-fantasy-tips-predictions-questions

"Fowler: The Eagles are always a threat to make moves at the deadline, but they have no obvious needs. Left tackle Jordan Mailata will return soon. The youth experiment on defense is going well with pass rusher Nolan Smith Jr. and corners Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Would GM Howie Roseman take a shot at a star, such as Cardinals safety Budda Baker?"

With CJGJ, Blankenship, and Brown, I think not.

Or a terribly over rated prospect

I don’t think so, honestly.

No one was saying he was a lock to be a pro bowler or anything. The entire scouting report was boom or bust.

Basically everyone acknowledged the obvious: he was extremely raw and undeveloped but had near Mike Vick speed in the body of Cam Newton and the arm of Jeff George. Basically the perfect prospect physically.

With that kind of talent, if you believe you can develop him you have to go get him, because he won’t last long.

It’s easy now to say overrated. If he had gone to KC, gotten the Andy Reid development treatment, are you sure he’d be considered overrated? Because I’m not. QBs more than any position need proper circumstances to develop.

I think it's stupid to be honest. Anyone who destroys their own property over sports needs to get a grip. I also think half of them are staged which makes it that much worse.

When I went to Vegas for nationals this year I had so many people shout it at me and I wasn't ready but got used to it as the night goes on.

Locally there are a few of us but it's not that loud of reaction just a quieter recognition of some kind.

I almost wonder if it's the old uniforms that were less accurate (less consistent as kelly green). I feel like today's kelly green uniforms are pretty much an exact match to the green lettering and numbers on the late 80s players' white jerseys. But when you look at the pics of the green jerseys during that time, the shades appear to be all over the place. Just for the sake of this discussion, I took a pic of my last remaining officially licensed Eagles merchandise from the late 80s. I wouldn't say everything is perfectly consistent, but it's all different materials and nothing (obviously) is new.

That's a great collection. What brand is the jersey?
