I can saybthe DeJean is an impressive player. Had my doubts about his physical traits, but he is both smart and talented. Can see why fangio must have loved him. Q has been an A+ corner as well

Huff has been the bust signing i feared, however

Weird that Elliott is 0-3 from that distance when the rest of the league can't seem to miss. He was a terrific long distance FG kicker. You have to wonder if having Mann do the kickoffs might be taking Jake out of the game a bit. With the Eagles going for it on 4th down and going for 2 more often, his leg isn't getting nearly the amount of work as he's used to. I don't like how the Eagles have handed the kickoff or FGs this year at all.

I don’t mind having Mann do the kickoffs because you can’t risk Jake getting hurt on one. But I do believe kickers need to be in a flow and him not kicking extra points isn’t helping.

How is he going to get hurt? They kick it out of the endzone every time.

Because the play they called was so great and a way higher probability

It's like they forget they have a big back that they paid a lot of money to.   I heard he's kind of good.

I am so happy that Devonta Smith signed an extension. Surprised honestly because he’s not in a great situation since Squirts doesn’t throw the football well. He’s one of my favorite receivers to watch in the league.  Dude just glides across the field with elite speed and route running.

Today they failed on it twice.  Before today it was fine.

Give credit to Jax.  They did something right today.  Doesn't mean it's no longer automatic.

I'd prefer only using it on 1 yard or less.  When we need 2 yards it makes me nervous using it.

It's not fine.  It's overused and its not automatic.   I don't think you know what that word means.   Automatic means that it will always work.  It has not been nearly as effective as it had been in previous years.   Its now just a play that limits their ability to think of other short yardage plays, and limits their ability to take advantage of overly aggressive defenses in 3rd and short situations.  Even when the push works on 3rd and 1 in the middle of the field, all it will provide is one yard.  There's just no creativity for this team in short yardage.

Just make him the OC already

Hasn’t been the same this year without Kelce, which is understandable.

Not nearly as easy as it used to be, and it’s getting stopped more regularly.

Even less effective without Mailata as well.

Ive said all season that there are things a CEO HC should be doing better. if thats his only job then these are things that should get him fired.

People are overboard in their hate, and complaining most of the time too. But Id have no issue moving on in the offseason.

Same with me.

What bothers me is when things are going well like the previous 3 weeks the narrative is that they locked Nick out of all the meetings and he's out of the way.

When things aren't good and not working it's he's too involved and must be calling plays again.

Can't be one or the other.

He made some dumb choices today no question.  I've said many times it's not because he wants to show he's fearless but it's that he truly believes the offense can get these 4th down attempts instead of taking 3.  He believes in his players but you have to know when it's not clicking at that moment.

Would have been very close to 40 points if they had taken the points when they were there to be taken.

You're right.  It's not automatic.  It never was really.

But it does have a high success rate.  I guess that was the point I was trying to make.  Although Jax did a nice job of stopping it, sort of.

I also mentioned I'd only like to see them use it when it's only 1 yard or less to go.

The success rate is MUCH lower this year.  And its hamstringing this team.  At this point, I think its actually less successful than the non-tush-push QB sneaks they used to run with Wentz back a few years.

Eagles' players saved the HC from another embarrassing game.  He learned nothing from the Atlanta game.

Anyone else get really nervous when Gainwell chest bumped DeVonta Smith after his TD forcing him to land really awkwardly?

Speaking of knees, has there been any update on AJ Brown?

What's the success rate this year?

I know the first year it was very high, somewhere in the 90% range.  The following year it went down some but still a high success rate.

As far as this year it seemed like it was successful until today.

Nope, if anything, we've been too generous and gave him too much leeway.

Because it was about Kelce, not Hurts

it never mattered how much he can squat

I recall the announcer referring to over 80% during the Bengals game.

I had no issue with the choice at the end of the half.  Running an 80% play on double-or-nothing makes perfect sense.

If ownership is promoting analytics and aggressiveness, what would you suggest?

They've been stopped at least 4 times, which means it would have had to be done 36 times successfully to meet 90%.  I don't think they have.

I'm over the push.  I never liked it, and now the teams overreliance on it is costing the team points.  Time to go back to the drawing board and find something creative, and not the slop we saw today.  They have no wrinkles off it.  It's just sad really.  The Tush Push is how I played electric football.

Mailata too when they started going left with it this year.  And he's out now too.

It's not even just Kelce.   The entire O-line, mainly the interior, need to be in sync.

They've been fine with it until today.

Teaching them the game.
