Been saying it since the preseason...Steen is the better RG.  Everybody was enamored with Bectons size (there really isnt much difference) but Steen moves much better and hasnt given up alot of pressures.  Becton should be the swing tackle and backup at RG

I don't think it's close.  Steen is much better.  But then Stoutland is Stoutland and I am me, so Becton has that going for him.

I think Sirianni suffered from Doug-itis today.  Doug used to go for two too often as well.  The frustrating part is it showed a lack of situational awareness on Nick’s part — you’re up 16-0 against a team who’s shown nothing, just take the extra point.  Two more instances of chasing points later, and the Eagles have 28 points instead of 31.  Couple that with the bad called fumble for a TD against and JAX got some life they wouldn’t have had otherwise.

I’d prefer the Eagles go away from the shove and spread the formation out in short yardage.  You’ve got lots of size at both guard positions and a QB who squats 600 lbs — just spread the defense out, snap the ball, and win 1-on-1.  Hurts should get the yard even with a decent job from the OL.  If the defense wants to clog the middle, you’ve got to have some easy short throws in the offense to combat that.

6-2 is still a really good spot.  Get a frickin’ win in DAL for a change, then come back home and beat WAS.  Two very big games coming up.

I think we were out-physicaled on some crucial plays today and that might alter the philosophy going forward. I do feel like teams are getting away with lining up offsides on the tush pushes, though --- but we still need to own that play if we're going to act like every series is 1st and 9. Today, the opponent punched back and it caught the Eagles off guard. The wrinkle where Hurts tries to veer to the left of the pile should not be used frequently and I'd prefer to have Barkley and Goedert in, pushing.

Brown out next week.

Barkley has to be fed.

I want Shipley RB2.

Gainwell 5 rushes for 9 yards is a s s

Smith and Dotson will produce.

It looked to me like Hurts was in the end zone on the first try; the second one the defense was clearly offsides.  Coaches should have been all over the line judge on that, and the Eagles organization (Howie) needs to be in the league’s ear on the poor caliber of officiating today.  Between not getting the line calls right and blowing the call on the non-fumble, they made a close game where there shouldn’t have been one.  In the end the Jaguars nearly stole a game the refs kept them in.

Having said all that, the Eagles are nowhere near as effective from that formation now that Kelce is retired.  Time to mothball it for awhile and get back to basics.

Have to give Gannon some credit for getting the Cards back to respectability.  I don’t see them winning the division or making the playoffs, but they are progressing.

No idea how the Steelers are 6-2.  I think it’s likely they go 3-6 the rest of the way; 2 against BAL, PHI, KC, two each against CIN and CLE, with WAS next up.

There are 6 losses in there for sure.

I made sweet and spicy chili today, and I’m confident that if I farted right now, you’d smell it in Cornelius. Enjoy your dinner!

Just ate half a bag of Aldi's brand cheddar and sour cream potato chips.

On top of smoked pulled chicken, green beans, and baked mac n cheese.

Challenge accepted.

We should be able to beat Dallas without Brown, but Washington, LA and Baltimore without him will be tough sledding.

If he's out for the next four or so games, gotta hope we can go 2-2 at worst.

I wouldn’t bank on us to beat anyone without AJ. That’s not to say we can’t or won’t (we almost beat Atlanta without him and did beat NO without him) but I just wouldn’t bank on it.

With all due respect to Dotson’s one random highlight reel catch…which is shades of Reagor posterizing the Pats in practice….hes not going to do anything for them.  Being down Goedert plus one of the WRs simultaneously means the offense isn’t going to score much…against anyone.

The Eagles will have to rely heavily on Hurts running and Calcaterra, neither of which is ideal.  Teams can focus on stacking the box and rolling all coverage to Devonta.  If they had one more weapon, it wouldn’t be possible for that approach.

Still concerned about Barkley missing next week too.

He was clearly hurting for most of the game.  He would take himself out. He kept gesticulating on the sideline.  At one point he was clearly trying to stretch out his hamstring. He seemed to hurt himself in that spin jump. Ever since then he was bothered by something.

A lot of people will be shocked when he shows up as a limited or DNP at practice,  but I think it's coming. Even if it's minor,  they'll be careful with him. And might not make him play at Dallas so he can try to be ready for Washington.

They just need to throw him the ball.  He will produce.

I think unfortunately we knew this when we signed him. We knew he came with an injury history and ultimately he plays a position that takes it toll over multiple weeks. I suspect he will miss some games this year (I pray not next week) and then we might be exposed as the depth isn’t great (nothing against Shipley he looks bright but he’s a rookie).

Unfortunately this is a symptom of missing AJ for multiple weeks and needing to use Barkley more. Thankfully we’ve had a couple of games where we could rest the starters in the 4th quarter.

I’m hoping that catch is perhaps a small sign that Hurts is starting to trust him? I may be clinging on to small hope there but it was a tough spot to throw him the ball but he did.

Be annoying if saquon injured himself doing that outrageous hurdle. Yeah it looked good but it was pretty pointless and unnecessary

I thought the same thing at the time while everyone else was drooling over it.

looks like his Hammy or something tightened up there..his gait changed as he just started to turn the corner then called for a sub

after play was over....something tightened up on him.

Needed this this morning…this dude is amazing, never ceases to amaze me.

I don't think "Gotta hope for 2-2" is banking on wins, lol

Huff played only 6 snaps all game.

Maddox played just 1 snap all game. And Jags immediately went after him and drew DPI.
