Huff played only 6 snaps all game.

Maddox played just 1 snap all game. And Jags immediately went after him and drew DPI.

I thought I must've missed an injury when Maddox was in for that flag, but that was his one snap?  JEEEEESUS

I mean to be fair to him he was handing the receiver off to CJGJ so it's a considerably better than zero chance that the DPI may have prevented a TD anyway but JEEEEESUS one snap one crucial flag.

I think Sirianni suffered from Doug-itis today.  Doug used to go for two too often as well.  The frustrating part is it showed a lack of situational awareness on Nick’s part — you’re up 16-0 against a team who’s shown nothing, just take the extra point.  Two more instances of chasing points later, and the Eagles have 28 points instead of 31.  Couple that with the bad called fumble for a TD against and JAX got some life they wouldn’t have had otherwise.

I’d prefer the Eagles go away from the shove and spread the formation out in short yardage.  You’ve got lots of size at both guard positions and a QB who squats 600 lbs — just spread the defense out, snap the ball, and win 1-on-1.  Hurts should get the yard even with a decent job from the OL.  If the defense wants to clog the middle, you’ve got to have some easy short throws in the offense to combat that.

6-2 is still a really good spot.  Get a frickin’ win in DAL for a change, then come back home and beat WAS.  Two very big games coming up.

Yup, totally agree.  Compared to last year, the shove is not as effective.  Particularly yesterday when you have a situation where Kelce is gone, Cam sliding over, Mailata out and Becton being in.  They don't seem to be as physical.  Seems like Hurts is also more vertical when he hits the pile and that's stymie'ing his forward motion.

Neither here nor there, but I think the Barkley Super Mario jump and Devonta Smith one-hander were the two coolest individual plays I’ve seen in my Eagles fandom. Ok, maybe two of the top three. Not sure anything will ever top Randall ducking under Bruce Smith and throwing a 95-yard TD.

Randall not getting tackled by Carl Banks.

Huff is a Albert Haynesworth bust

Irving Fryar had an amazing, Odell like catch at midfield (I believe against the Giants) that goes completely unremembered.  I was a little kid watching it…must have been around ‘97.

I don’t think it tops any lists, but as an isolated single play feat ignoring situation, it is worth mentioning.

Also…Buckhalter had a pretty incredible airborne TD run reaching around the pylon against I believe the dolphins in about 2003, also absolutely worth mentioning.

Philly special? Desean walk off punt return?

I also remember Brent Celek hurdling Ed Reed in 2012

Ok Barkley’s fumble…

I was at a bar that didn’t have the sound on but was Siri not allowed to challenge it? It was clear as day the defender grabbed his lower leg/ankle and he went down. With all the replays and challenges available I don’t know how that was missed.

That was a weak DPI call.

Turnovers are automatically reviewed.

Pretty much.

The closest Eagles comparison may be Tim Harris. Patrick Chung also was a complete waste of a signing.

I think Nolan Smith is really coming around.  No sacks yesterday, but you can see his increased comfort is starting to allow his raw athleticism to translate into explosion off the snap into the backfield.

I don’t think Huff has it, but I bet Nolan Smith becomes a legit edge for us next year.

ZB asked the officials about it and they said even though the defender touched him, he was touched by an offensive player after so they considered it a stumble and not down by contact.

Hurt's stance is an obvious tell at this point. On the fakes he is always very vertical. Seems like they self scouted to notice that and he's trying to be more vertical on the regular ons too, which of course hurts their effectiveness because he's not starting low enough.

Turnovers and scoring plays, and they came back to say it was "confirmed'... so it was reviewed, and not only did they get it wrong, they got it REALLY wrong with a stupid defense for why he wasn't "down by contact".

He would have been penalized if he did.   It was reviewed.  They just screwed it up.

I watched this video and I now think the refs probably were correct.  The defender touches his ankle and then he plants with that same foot before running into Dickerson.  I really would like to complain about this call more but it wasn't wrong.  On the other hand, it makes my hatred of Siranni's stupid decision making more justified.

Refs should be fined for fn that up

Which is ludicrous.  How many times do players touch teammates while being tackled on a routine basis?

Edge still is a big need in the draft. I think the issue is what do they do with Sweat.  He has been the most productive edge this season and is on his way to producing double digit sacks at age 27.  I just don't think they can trust him enough to keep him.
