With the trade dealine tomorrow, what position would you like to see addressed if Howie makes a move?

I'd say either a DE or legit RB who can carry the load behind Barkley.

Huff has been a non factor to say the least. Nolan Smith has started to show up but it would nice to have someone else who can get to the QB besides Sweat.

I like Gainwell more than most but he doesn't have the burst.  If they aren't going to incorporate Shipley into the offense, I think they could do better there.

Unless we’re acquiring a cost-controlled edge, I don’t want to make any moves. The team is fine and jelling well, particularly defensively. The coach needs to be a lot better.

Shut him down until he's healed. He's too important for long term success than just 2 games we can win with solid d and a heavy run attack.

Edge rusher. Easily.

Depth RB wouldn’t be a bad idea but only for a late round pick (6th round or later).

Per John Clark sounds like we are still awaiting the MRI results to be sure.

I’d be surprised if we traded for a RB. We aren’t cutting Gainwell or Shipley and we probably don’t want to roster 4 RBs on the 53.

I’m not trying to suggest it is… But going in to Dallas without AJ? I’d say that’s likely a loss. Playing Washington on a short week without AJ? Loss. And playing Baltimore on the road without AJ id say loss.

Without AJ I’d say we are more likely to go 0-4 than we are 4-0 and in fact I’ll go as far to say 0-4 is more likely than 2-2.

Strongly disagree.  Still have Devonta, Saquon, and even Goedert may be back in that stretch.  Defense is playing a lot better.

As long as they focus on the running game, 2-2 without AJ is highly attainable

I think some of it is learning the scheme.  Nakobe and Baun have looked much better in coverage but DeJean is very good.

Take the points, Nick.   Take the points.

Huff had been making progress but it was as a down lineman.  The Eagles also let their lead evaporate immediately, so the Jags werent really forced to pass much.

I still can't believe Sirianni pissed away so many points against the Jags at home.  That should have been a laugher of a 2nd half and they damn-near 2023'ed the game.

RB would be a waste.  I am not sure there's really a good fit at edge because Fangio has the edge do more than just rush the passer. I think TE is one they should think about.

Neither here nor there, but I think the Barkley Super Mario jump and Devonta Smith one-hander were the two coolest individual plays I’ve seen in my Eagles fandom. Ok, maybe two of the top three. Not sure anything will ever top Randall ducking under Bruce Smith and throwing a 95-yard TD.

How about Randall getting knocked 10 yards backward and throwing a strike to the end zone on MNF?

If only Randall could have been coached by AR. That one year in Minnesota hints at what might have been.

If Saquon would have gotten up after dude flicked his ankle/tripped him and ran for a TD do you think the TD would have stand?

Twitter docs seem to think it’s a minor MCL sprain and has the potential to play this week, but could be a two-week absence.

2 games in 11 days coming up... rest seems smarter regardless of who the oppoments are.

Looking like a young Sheldon Brown, physical and (mostly) technically sound. Great draft pick.

I’d do something like a 5th for Chase Young and 7th. To bolster the pass rush.

I watched this video and I now think the refs probably were correct.  The defender touches his ankle and then he plants with that same foot before running into Dickerson.  I really would like to complain about this call more but it wasn't wrong.  On the other hand, it makes my hatred of Siranni's stupid decision making more justified.

Sure, but do you really think if instead of fumbling Barkley had gotten up and scored they would've let that stand based on the same reasoning? Absolutely not

I’m ready to see Sydney Brown over CJGJ. CJGJ looks slow in coverage and is usually a step and a half behind on most plays. I’d trade him by the deadline if possible, because I don’t think you can bench him without him being a distraction.

CJGJ sucks this year, he's made some really good plays here and there but overall he has not been good. He's always running behind someone in coverage, damn near always sitting there waiting for a tackle to come to him. You'll see a back or receiver running and there's CJ on his heels waiting for them 7 yards downfield

Add a pass rush and move Shipley to RB 2

Nah.  Cunningham was basically just lobbing up go-balls to two hall of famers in MIN.  He never even bothered to learn the playbook in Philly; Reid can't help him sit down and give a s***.

The year he took off retired refocused him and the change of scenery was a tonic he needed.  He also spent a year on the bench in MIN before starting, and his level of play there didn't sustain beyond that one season.  Very glad ATL beat them in the NFCCG.

Some thoughts:

Guess the complaints about Hurts are finished? I remember when people said he lacked the arm strength to play NFL QB, hmm, he may not be a high velocity thrower but he throws a beautiful deep ball. Gives his receivers a chance to make big plays. And may not have the speed of Lamar or Murray, but better N/S where he can break tackles.

If Becton is going to start at RG, I'd think about Steen (LT at Bama) over Fred Johnson at LT.

I'd also think about McCollum or Brown over CJGJ, who looks a step slower than last time he was here.

Rodgers had a bullseye on his uniform, Maddox is useless. Maybe "veterans" are overrated?

Sure, Howie whiffs at times, but name the last Eagle draft where they hit like he did with Mitchell and Cooper. DeJean is a freakin' rookie and looks like a ten year veteran, anticipating every throw and coming up against the run like a SS. And Mitchell is already a shutdown CB that QBs try to avoid.

The pass rush is much better when Fangio mixes in zone blitzes, but I've noticed they almost never stunt, he went into the "safe zone" the second half and it bite them. Vanilla 4 man rush gave Lawrence too much time. There are a handful of elite pass rushers, otherwise you need to scheme a unit to create pressure.

If they aren't going to get a RB then demote gainwell cause he ain't it. Should've been dropped in the offseason. The cap implications shouldn't be an issue so I can't see why they wouldn't cut gainwell in favor of a better RB. Sign him to the PS if they love him that much

Not in a million years.
