I would trade for Hill. A better short-yardage back than Gainwell.

I think they have a couple void years on the Taysom Hill contract - so kind of a hostage situation.  If they cut him, the outyear costs move forward and they are in a deeper hole.

Gainwell looks like he is running sand behind the LOS compared to Barkley. He doesn't hit the hole. Shipley is very likely a better option as the second back. On D, Fangio would make the change. Not sure O has the cajones to play the best player.

Not a prayer, Head Coaches don't get sacked off 3 straight double digit win seasons with 3 separate sets of coordinators. Can you think of another example of it happening? Hell there are at least 3 coaches who survived 3 consecutive double digit loss seasons.

It's definitely an odd situation since he's the ceo type HC but he's still the HC and they're winning a lot under him

And despite him

Gainwell is neither fast, nor strong. That means he has to be perfect vision-wise to be useful. He missed some holes on Sunday that turned 3 yard gains into 1 yard gains and on 1st down that's a big difference.

In Hurts press conference, he said they need to be better situationally.

Follow up later, what situations do you mean? He said 4th down. He said how they execute, but also "how we manage those moments."  He said they left opportunities on the field.

Seems to be not happy with Nick's decisions without saying it.

The way I see it, turning down points and turning the ball over on downs is still a turnover, but that one should count against the coach.  Sirianni might actually be the leading turnover machine for the NFL this season.

Players, or fans??

Both.

Lane Johnson yesterday in the locker room which was posted, and Hurts in his PC criticized the 4th down management.

Sean Payton and loomis really Fed them. I can’t believe they extended Kamara knowing they needed a rebuild and draft picks. He should’ve been dealt not extended. Hey are legit going to try and win next year, find ways to get into worse contracts as they should just rebuild and tear it down.

It's not just a turnover or taking points off the board. It is an emotional boost to the other team to get a 4th down stop. Sirianni doesn't seem to appreciate the adrenaline aspect of giving momentum changing plays to the other team. Take the points, keep the other team on their heals and don't give them anything to feel good about. He is an emotional mess during the game and has the EQ of a donkey.

Thank god AJ is fine

Did he say we need to just keep the main thing the main thing?

Another franchise first for QB1.

Lurie and Howie want a Super Bowl for their investments. Howie has actually built a great roster on offense, and a good enough one on defense. He absolutely hit on Q and DeJean who are contributing in a major way this year, not typical for Eagles rookies.

They've had a SB window. They've changed coordinators and coaches. They paid big RB money for Barkley. They've extended key players at WR and O line, and of course gave Hurts a huge contract. The team is built to win a championship.

Last season's collapse was an embarrassment. Nick's antics and game management have been on national coverage multiple games this year.

Chip Kelly was fired after 2 back-to-back 10 win seasons and playoff appearances, and after going 6-9 which is technically a losing season but not as bad as 3 or 4 wins. Reid was their winningest coach in history and once he dropped a 4 win season, he was fired. Doug won them a Super Bowl and then made the playoffs the following 2 seasons. In 2018 they won a playoff game then lost by 6 on the road, and had Foles as backup again because of Wentz injury, and Foles didn't recapture the 2017 magic. In 2019, Wentz actually played well with garbage receivers and they made the playoffs, and Wentz once again got hurt after a spear to the back. A 4 win season got Doug fired (plus not wanting to make the changes the front office wanted).

Going back to Lurie's early years, he fired Kotite and Rhodes. He's not afraid to fire coaches. His model was New England. He wants multiple championships. Making the playoffs isn't good enough, they will build around what they have to make it work but if it's not, they will make the change.

Nick is on the hot seat.

Prescott out Sunday night.

No Dak. Banged up Lamb?

No excuses for another W.

2 void years totalling $9,723,000.  But his base salary next year is 10,000,000.  That's where the $277,000 savings comes from.

Without being snarky:  If they are going to do a rebuild, he's an obvious cut candidate despite the minimal savings.  If they keep him he's $17,986,500 next year and $9,723,000 the year after that.  If they cut him it's $17,709,500 next year and he is off the books after that.
