The defense however is really coming into it’s own.

When the offense isn’t clicking it’s because Hurts is pushing the wrong buttons.  When he’s out of sync, they are in trouble.

Isaiah Rodgers, Mekhi Becton, Josh Sweat, and Milton Williams.  I think Sweat & Milton will be out of their price range 

Absolutely ridiculous what Mitchell and Dejean are doing.  It would have been a success if they played like this in year 5.  Mitchell has been an island CB and Dejean has been helping the Eagles win games in every imaginable way.

Losing Milton Williams would hurt a bit.  We underrate him.

They’ve completely transformed the defense & barely halfway thru the 1st year of their rookie contract. It’s incredible.

Well both he and the coaches didn’t press.  He got some underneath freebies against a soft zone in the last drive of the 1st half, but strung them together until the defense tightened up again and then never looked back.

Easier to find your stride when the other team is completely punchless.  He’s got to be much better out of the gate on Thursday — maybe start taking proper pregame warmups?

Agreed. I’d like him back, not sure we afford him. I think Howie taking a DT in 1st or 2nd rd could be a sneaky possibility 

I think this should be Slay’s last year as an Eagle.

Tbh, I thought he was quite poor today till 2 mins to go in the half. Then he was stellar on that drive going into the half and through Q3.

Not his best game through the winning stretch by any means but defence was amazing and carried the day. He did do a good job of converting short fields to TDs and led a couple of great drives to offset the earlier mistakes.

Not sure why Jared Verse should be the odds favorite for DROTY over Mitchell.  

A shut down CB roughly translates (purely subjectively) to something well over 10 sacks from an edge.  A merely good cb, sure maybe 8.  

Verse is on pace for like 8 sacks.  I don’t think that measures up to what Mitchell is doing in coverage.

But gets us closer. Frankly the lions only have like 4 games left after tonight where i think they could possibly lose. This bills, GB, SF and Minnesota. Tend to think they go at least 2-2 in those.
