Yes on the AFC Side, those 3 and 4 wins teams are still alive because so many teams have losses.   On the NFC Side, yes there's a cluster of 4 wins teams that I think still have a shots like you said. The problem on the NFC side is that The Wild Card winners will have 10 or more wins for sure.    Everyone in the NFC Wild Card right now has 6 and 7 wins.    I agree with you about the Bengals as the AFC Wild Card could have some teams with less than 10 wins.  But every time I think they will dig out of the hole, they lose again. Maybe this just isn't the Bengals year.  We'll see.  8 games is still a lot that can happen.

The one thing about them though is they have been very competitive against good teams (outside of our game). Both Ravens games and then the Commanders. 3 of their loses could have easily gone either way.

At some stage, you need to start racking up wins but they sure seem like the best team of the ones that have bad records.

Yes they are losing close games but they are still losing.    With that said If they can string together a few wins they will be in better shape.  They are 4-6 now and only 1 game out of the last Wildcard spot in the AFC (Denver is 5-5).  Again I'm not writing off the Bengals, they are very much alive.  It's just every time they win one they lose one, they are just up and down this year.

The Georgia boys are finally coming around. In hindsight I'd still rather have Brian Branch than Nolan Smith I think, but all the Georgia guys are contributing now and playing well respective to their roles.

We'll find out of this defense is for real over the next few weeks. I don't expect them to be as dominant as the past several games, but I expect them to do well enough to win each of the next 3 games, it's if the offense can hold up their end of the bargain.

If they had taken Branch, you are probably looking at Verse instead of Q.

Hurts has played much better lately, but wins are a team stat. One of my biggest sports peeves is crediting wins and losses to specific individuals. People do it with coaches too.

Exactly. Mahomes gets credit for playing like crap yesterday and winning on a 1/100 chance blocked field goal? Nonsense

I couldn't help myself, I left a comment on Shango's video where he's 'done' with the Cowboys...

So who gets released when Mailata is activated? Gates? Maddox? Burks? Stoll? Or does someone conveniently get placed on IR with an injury no one knew anything about? Since the trading deadline has passed, anyone released would have to clear waivers to be signed to the PS so you couldn’t play games with a vet like Lovato where he sits on the PS for a few weeks and gets activated for games.

Incidentally I don’t think Ainias Smith is ever going to be anything other than a JAG but I suspect the Eagles at the moment are too prideful to admit that apparent draft mistake.

That Baddog guy with a Giants channel is a funny watch.  He’s the one who exploded with profanity when they announced the Daniel Jones draft pick.  He said this yesterday; they have a bye week now then play Tampa.  Time to play Lock, keep bottoming out, and draft a QB.  Can’t risk Jones playing and getting injured.

He did his postgame video comments with a bag over his head the entire time.  The guy does not disappoint,

After the game in Tampa, their next three worst performances have been at the Linc (Atl, Cle, Jax).  Those are the only games played in Philly so far.

It would be really nice for them to give the home folk a solid performance on Thursday.

Yea, I'm all about draft hindsight thinking about who they could have picked (Kyle Hamilton instead of Jordan Davis for example), but taking Branch probably eliminates both Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.

In my opinion we played better against Jacksonville than we did against New Orleans. We dominated the Jags in every statically category and it was kind of fluky that it was actually close at the end. On the contrary, we were mostly outplayed against the Saints and were fortunate it went our way at the end.

When the All-22 comes up I’ll look and get back to you. It will, of course, be my opinion and not a fact.

Take a look at Steen, Driscoll and Bates too, if you would.

Feels like Kinnard is now the bottom man on the depth chart.

I also think a move could be had at S with Brown back and getting his feet wet. We don't really need 5 safeties so either Maddox or McCollum. I'd just risk putting Maddox through waivers. No one seemed to want him when he was cut before and his play hasn't helped anything change that.

Eli Ricks is another guy that should probably get cut. Unless they see something in him long term and want to keep him around, he's just not doing anything at all to have a roster spot. Active in only 3 games all year and only has 20 ST snaps.

The home crowd has had PTSD from last year, it feels like, and we haven't had much of a home field advantage. In all those games it seems the crowd gets tight immediately once the first bad thing happens. Maybe these last few games will loosen them up a bit.

McCollum didn't dress on Sunday.  He's my guess.

Not sure if they would be dropping OL or CB..

Maddox should be the first man out the door. He offers nothing on the field. There's no future with him here. Kinnard could be depth down the road. They already lost McMahon as young OL depth. McCollum is good DB and ST depth. Even Ricks provides young depth down the road.
