McCollum didn't dress on Sunday.  He's my guess.

Not sure if they would be dropping OL or CB..

OL is already at 10 on the active roster, 11 would be pretty heavy, both figuratively and literally.

While I agree with your general premise about indoor vs. outdoor teams, that does not apply to Detroit. They are not a finesse team. They have a great OL, comparable to ours and a stacked defense. I am much impressed by them, especially since they are without their best defensive player for the year.

You are correct about Detroit... but Goff does have those little hands.  A cold ball, and even more a cold and wet ball changes things.  Granted, we don't know what the weather would be in an outdoor game here in January, but it is unlikely to be 70 degrees and calm air.

Sure.  A RB who is top 10 in completion %, Rating and QBR.

We actually have a great RB on this team and his name is not Hurts.

Hurts is a product of the phenomenal talent he has around him. Not the other way around. this is why he is not a top qb in this league. If you put hurts on any other team without these WRs, rb and oline, he’s not a starter.
If you gave this offense to Burrow, mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Lamar even… or stroud, baker, Murray, Stafford?
Every time he drops back to pass it is more a relief that he completes the pass. It’s terrible.
Now he does some good things but he’s not above average, he peaked a few years ago and has never duplicated that success

Take a look at Steen, Driscoll and Bates too, if you would.

Will do. Fourth quarter, which was pretty much all garbage time.

Pretty sure my guy Pincely Umanmielen is no longer going to fall to us at 32

You’re a moron. That how this works?

Looks like they wont be shy with Mailata

Guessing Goedert, Devonta, Slay all play. Dean left the game yesterday, but the Eagles were up a lot, so.

I think Slay will be out. Just one good looking mans opinion

He’s somewhere in the 10-15 range IMO.  I’m by far one of his biggest critics, but QB play in general is down right now.  Is he playing to his contract?  I don’t think so, but to say he’s not even above average is a stretch.

So who gets released when Mailata is activated? Gates? Maddox? Burks? Stoll? Or does someone conveniently get placed on IR with an injury no one knew anything about? Since the trading deadline has passed, anyone released would have to clear waivers to be signed to the PS so you couldn’t play games with a vet like Lovato where he sits on the PS for a few weeks and gets activated for games.

Incidentally I don’t think Ainias Smith is ever going to be anything other than a JAG but I suspect the Eagles at the moment are too prideful to admit that apparent draft mistake.

WRs take time to develop.  Smith looked like he was not 100% in pre-season.  He seems to have at least some burst. I would rather keep him than cut him and risk him getting picked up in waivers.  He doesn't, however, play special teams.  All of those players you listed play special teams.  Eli Ricks was inactive on Sunday.  He would be my guess.

Definitely better:

  1. Mahomes
  2. Allen
  3. Burrow
  4. Jackson

Can make an argument:

  1. Stafford
  2. Goff
  3. Herbert
  4. Stroud

There's no way Hurts is not at least top 7-10.

Smith ran a great route that ended up in a 5-yard defensive holding penalty.  Nothing in the box score for him.

The "they" in "they are under utilizing" is ambiguous.  How many of the plays that were designed for Smith ended up in sacks or nullified by pressure?  Or did Hurts turn down or misread?

I seriously doubt the coaches are choosing to not get Smith the ball.

I believe the Eagles were being cautious with AJ, Smith and Goedert as they still had some aches and Smitty was added late with a tight hammy to the injury report last week.

Wilson is playing like he’s 25 again, Mayfield is having a good year, shockingly old man cousins has been pretty darn good, that kid in Wash is probably going to be OROTY, Kyler is having an excellent year. 7-15 then.  He moves up and down

I can’t put Goff in that. He has a ton of weapons and he’s been probably the most inconsistent piece. He threw 5 INTs in a win lol. He scored 3 points in a Super Bowl.

But how much does it really matter if we win?

Measuring stick?  Bragging rights?  2 really good teams head to head?  Sure.  But does it even matter in the standings?

For me, football isn’t about the standings.  It’s the game itself.   With the Baltimore game, we will see two talented teams and two really strategic coaching staffs.  So well executed plays and the chess match of talented coordinators against each other.  We will see a similar product with the Commie games as Quinn built a very good staff.  It’s why I watch the All22.

I wouldn't put Herbert in there either, but some do.

Hurts is a top 5 QB in the league without queation.  Only two that you can without question put above him are Mahomes and Lamar.  Josh Allen has a really strong case.  Burrow is Debatable but Hurts has put himself above him at this point and I had him above Burrow already heading into last year.  Beyond that there is no one that comes close.

Not that I’d take baker over hurts. But Baker deserves to be in the top 10 this year based on what he’s done this year. Has 26 tds and 9 ints. Meanwhile he’s done it while losing godwin and Evans. Last 3 games without Evans and Godwin he has 6 tds and 2 ints with a 96.3 Qb rating. Averaging 23.3 ppg without those two is respectable. We didn’t have smith and aj brown for two games and averaged 15.5 ppg.
