Defense should force Daniels to pass the whole game. Joe Burrow wasn't able to keep it together, I doubt Daniels will be able to.

Excited to see Q/DeJean vs McLaurin. McLaurin has always given this team issues and I think the Eagles finally have the physicality and coverage to keep him quiet.

I'm sure Fangio has some exotic looks he will throw at the rookie. They are a good pass blocking team, so I imagine there will be some nickel blitzes coming to get preferable match ups.

I don't think they need to load the box to stop the run.  They need to play disciplined on the edges and contain him on pass rushes.  Daniels has been fantastic against the blitz.  I think pressure up the middle where the Eagles have a matchup advantage is the best approach.  Fangio doesn't need to deviate from his approach to make them work for the yards and take away big plays.

Richardson just needed a breather.

Wait a minute. Basically, Dotson could have worn 13 if he wanted to. There was 0% chance of Grier ever getting elevated.

Why does it feel like the Colts locker room is Irsay basically channeling Gunnery Sergeant Hartman?  Would love to be a fly on the wall for those meetings in the QB room.

I definitely agree. I didn't intent to imply it would be to sell out to stop the run, more that they need to keeping him in the pocket and limit their success on the ground. Forcing Daniels to pass all game probably won't end well for them. Its essentially what TB does to the Eagles

Sweat and Nolan Smith will have to set the edge this game. I think if they generate some pass rush, its going to be the most successful up the middle with stunts or Carter just taking over.

It's not a good WR number for this franchise.

Travis Fulgham, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, and Damaris Johnson.   That jersey has got some stank on it.  Who would want it?

I anticipate we'll see more 5-man fronts against Washington (and Baltimore, and possibly Detroit).

It won't necessarily be by personnel, but rather bringing Baun down the LOS on the edge - which is what they did against the Saints.

5-man fronts with bull-rushes to keep Daniels in the pocket >>>

Daniels is a good thrower, but the WR talent on Washington isn't as good as our DB talent. Make them win.

I feel like our secondary has been petrified of Scary Terry for years, playing far off and allowing <insert name of journeyman QB> to look great throwing underneath.  They clamped down on Jamar Chase a couple weeks ago, I'd like to see the same treatment tomorrow.

Daniels has come back to Earth after the hot start in September.  His completion percentage has been 60% since then. Make him beat you from the pocket.

Saw this graphic and its crazy to see Barkley almost 4 yards down the field before being touched.

He was never touched on the 65-yard run against the Saints.  Take that out and it's still about 3.5 YBC/A

That's crazy! He's 4th overall in YBC/A and still wouldn't take a hit in rankings.

Lamar 4.2

Gibbs 4.0

Daniels 4.0

Barkley 3.8

Taylor 3.4

Lots of credit to the OL. They have been able to make some nice lanes, and Barkely has been able to take full advantage of it.

Epic trade, Commies.  Is this guy ever gonna play for you?

Maybe I'll regret saying this, but the Commies don't scare me.  They are not very hot right now.  They should have lost 2 of their last 3  (save a last minute hail mary).  The Commies have racked up wins against bad QBs / teams (4 wins vs. Giants, Panthers, and Deshaun Watson Browns).  Their run defense is also statistically very bad, like bottom 3 or 4 teams in the NFL kind of bad.

The game strategy should not be rocket science.  Protect the football, let Saquon run, let that young secondary work it's magic.

I might be late to the party, but saw this beautiful screen grab of a Barkely run. 4 levels of blocking.

They have clamped down on everyone.

Brian Robinson has been an Eagles killer and they get him back.

But they have 3 hurt OTs. We need a big game from the EDGEs to contain Daniels.

3 of the first 4 games had credible QB/WR combinations, I think since then CIN was our best opponent in this respect but the defense took care of business.

The Commanders are a well coached team.  They can produce explosive plays on the offensive side of the ball.  Daniels is a very good QB with a great arm.  That being said, our offense should be able to put up points on them.  Hurts needs to eliminate mistakes.  Sirianni needs to avoid boneheaded decisions.
