yeah. he wasnt looking at the ball so contact was likely going to be called.

It did look like he stared at the ball in Ertz's hands for quite a while when he was legal to do something about it then. But that was slow motion. Not sure how quickly it actually happened.

A super brain takes about 1/3 of a second to see, interpret and react.  The average human is just under a second.
