Definitely think he’s drunk and just worried about his parlay bets during broadcasts

He also called Jalen Carter the first overall pick in last years draft

Props to Siri/Moore for committing to the run game.

The key play of the game was that 4th and 2 when the Eagles were up 12-10. Zach Baun got the attention for the end of the play, but the one who really made that play was Carter. He blew up the play the second the ball was snapped, go back and rewatch it. He was the best player on the field tonight.

It wasn't really close with Carter

I'm just gonna dream Parsons wants to come here in 26.

It's been said that Fangio needs LBs for his scheme to work and he was a genius to see something in Baun and sculpt him into one of the league's best ILB. We've got a few more games yet to get a better idea of just how good they are but I've been blown away at how much progress we've seen since the Bucs game. Hats off to Vic so far, he's definitely exceeded my expectations.

Who’s Fangio?  You mean Fangino?

Wow Jalen had 220 yards passing. Definitely didn’t feel like it

Thoughts:

Bad:
- Daniels didn’t live up to the hype.  I’m sure he’s been great, but he looked like nothing more than just another rookie QB tonight.
- Got to hope Jake Elliott gets right.

Neutral:
- Hurts overall gutted out a winning performance on a night when the passing game wasn’t working.  260 total yards, some big first down runs, no turnovers, one tush push TD.  He had the more positive impact of the two QBs on the field.  However, he was thoroughly unimpressive as a passer.  He’s getting happy feet and tunnel vision in the pocket.  I just don’t trust him to make the right reads right now.  But his running ability and decision making with running have given him a compensatory safety net that moves the chains when he’s sputtering with his arm…and it’s been enough considering the other talent.

Good:

- Coaching.  This game did NOT break well for us out of the gait.  There could have been some frustration, reactionary changes in the offensive game plan, etc.  There is a fine line between panicking and adjusting.  They kept at it and eventually the superior team shined through.
- Nolan Smith was left for dead in preseason.  He’s making big strides on a weekly basis.  The burst and athleticism are starting to translate.  He might end up being what they thought Huff would be.
- Graham doing this at his age is amazing.  He’s better than he was last year.
- Sweat has come around.
- Dean and Baun both had excellent games with big hits, big plays in coverage, flying around.
- Interior pass rush was relentless, led by Carter, but he wasn’t alone.
- Blankenship catches the football.
- Ignoring the last drive when they all quit and accounting for the competition (not the the Commanders are some juggernaut), I thought this was the best overall game by our defense in 2 years.  They won every matchup at every level of the field.  Aside from the early TD drive, the Commanders didn’t even come close to having anything work.  Pass rush and coverage were both on point while both off ball LBs were flying around.

Next level:
- Mitchell is invisible in the best way possible.  Truly invisible.
- Barkley.  Nothing to say there.

I'm old enough to remember when fans here were worried about Daniels & Washington.

Hurts was very quietly good in the 2nd half.

Sheesh. He's a rookie ffs.

It was your typical NFC BEAST slugfest and the Birds came out on top. The Eagles have now won 12 of the last 15 games against Washington.  The Birds are on their longest winning streak since the 2022 Super Bowl Year (8 Straight wins).  2023 had two 5 game winning streaks.

Just missed Daniels on that play.  He played great tonight.

Our kicker couldn't kick.
The refs were picking up flags that were penalties that led to most of their drives.

We kicked the **** out of Washington.

They had one legitimate TD drive. The Eagles still need to eliminate mistakes. Hurts is still missing plays. They should have scored 34.

Exceeded my expectations. I was irritated after 4 weeks cause i thought with fangio and him being praised as mastermind they should’ve been better than what we saw. I give him credit he had them playing fast and physical. They are really good. Excited to see them keep getting better over time. They finally have sustainability on the defense. It’s been a while since weve had a young defense (outside of Graham) that can keep getting better year after year.

Can anyone tell me if we won or lost the game tonight. Listening to Fitzpatrick and Dick Sherman it sure seems like we lost.

The second half Kingsbury curse is real.

If the Kicker makes his field goals and extra points we win easily. Hurts played his C level game and the offense still moved the ball up and down the field. Jake, the stupid trick play, and penalties in enemy territory was way bigger issue tonight than Hurts.

They started tackling better and things clicked in the secondary. A big part of it is Cooper DeJean as well.

Two plays that really helped contribute to changed the outcome of game were Reed and Baun stopping Daniels on 4th and 2 and calcaterra’s hustle to recover goedert’s fumble

This is hilarious.

Besides watching the eagles the rest of the season, I look forward in the off-season when howie goes out of his way to get a big-time pass rusher. you know he’s gonna try to acquire one.

He really is shaping up to be this generation's Revis.
