Almost as crazy as the Giants letting Barkley walk…

Barkley would probably have at best 70% of his current production in that Giants’ offense. The Giants mistake was not being able to get more for him. Then again I don’t think the Eagles outbid too many other teams for him.

Probably, but he was still their best player and a foundational piece. The smart play in my view would have been to sign him, use him for a year or two as the locker room leader to build a good culture, then trade him to a team trying to make a Super Bowl run.

7 games left, what's our record over the next 7 games? 7-0? 6-1? 5-2? Where do you all see us at when the final whistle blows on January 5th?

No worse than 5-2 which means no worse than 13-4

14-3 seems fairly easily attainable.

5-2 rest of the way…13-4 total…likely the 2 seed

You never know what happens, especially with three divisional games in the final 3 games and especially if the #1 and/or #2 seeds are locked in (either by us or someone else). I can't follow the entire league as closely as I used to, but looking at the next 7 games and not taking into account how hard divisional games can be, if we were to beat Baltimore, 7-0 might not be too difficult to envision. But having watched A LOT of Eagles games in my lifetime, I know better than to bank on something like that until after it's in the books.

Once it's in the books, THEN I'll go back and edit my posts to appear that I was confident in it all along...

not going to lie, going into the season I had them at 10 wins and felt like a homer with that prediction.  Clearly I know football.

I don’t think any GM is going in with the mindset that they’ll still suck in a year or two. The Giants would still be just as bad with Saquan. They have no O-Line and no QB. The biggest beneficiary in this whole situation is Saquan himself. He wasn’t going to the Hall of Fame playing 9-10 seasons with the Giants.

I think we lose either to Ravens or Steelers, most likely Ravens. But if our offense sputters against Steelers D could be 0-2 there. Panthers & Cowboys should be wins. It’ll be interesting playing Daniels when he’s a bit more rested, I think he was hurt yesterday. But that game is at home & we already beat them, so I’ll go win there. Giants might pull it off if they’re spiteful & were benching players. Rams game will be interesting, I like our odds with getting a mini bye.

I’ll go 5-2, loss to the Ravens and a toss up game

Was this due to play design then?  Seemed like Washington’s game plan was to load the box and force throws.

It definitely was. They had eight guys up on all but obvious passing downs.

How was Jalen Carter not in the 90s?

PFF is ridiculous. It has Q as an average corner. Saw someone on Reddit arguing that Q isn’t that good of a CB because he’s given up 23 completions & using PFF rating him as an average corner as a reference.

Josh Sweat being the highest graded defender is hilarious

The Giants were CLEARLY 2 years away this offseason.

Hadn't seen this before the eagles had oz the mentalist in apparently. We had one of those guys at a work party this year and they are impressive.

I tuned in late with about 4 mins left in the 1st qtr…it seemed pretty clear they were stacking the box to me.  Obviously TV angle doesn’t show the whole play, but there had to have been plenty of opportunities.  I will say that i think the OL took a while to settle this game though in pass pro.  So i want to give Hurts a bit of a pass for his happy feet.

He, without seeing the playback, was amazing this game.  I don’t find it hilarious at all…stats won’t give Carter the credit he deserves.  What Carter created, Sweat seemed to always be there to force the issue.

Zero credit for creation.  That and they are arbitrarily assigning grades, like they always have.

In my view, rebuilding includes the locker room, and Barkley seems like the kind of guy you can build a locker room around.
