I think the obvious theme for week 1 is that defenses are ahead of the offenses.  It won’t stay that way for long in this league

Eagles rolling into Week 2 after a W in South America.  We got Kirk coming in on a Monday Night.  Falcons didn't look that hot against the Steelers.  Saint Nick Retirement Game. Should be fun one.    

 

So I think next week should provide some insight into the pass rush.  Cousins was a sitting duck vs. the Steelers, he had nowhere to go if they covered his first read.

They're only answer on passing downs is going to be quick hitters, and hopefully we're not dumb enough to give up 7-8 yard passes all day long like last season.  I'm hoping this is a coming out party for the likes of Huff and Smith.

The Falcons looked bad but I will hedge my expectations by saying that I think the Steelers have one of the better defenses in the league and that played a big factor in that game.

Yes but the Eagles Offense is much better than the Steelers Offense.

That steelers pass rush is really good, the eagles pass rush is undetermined IMO due to an unplayable field, if eagles cant get a pass rush Captain Kirk will shred em

I think they are as bad as they looked , watson is trash, their defense is pretty good but not good enough to make up for their offense

I'm not ruling out Kirk having a little better game but it's still Primetime and that's his kryptonite.  I think this young D might step up in this game but honestly it's all about the O.  They need to clean up mistakes but if they keep making those big plays I just don't see the Falcons having an answer for all of our weapons.   Justin Fields didn't put up huge points against them.  This offense is much better than the Steelers.  But yes right now the Steelers D is better than ours for sure.

Yup the eagles O will be a much bigger challenge for Falcons than the anemic steelers O.

Will be a better guage of eagles  O and D on an actual playable field.

 And yeah Kirk has a history of choking in primetime

Without Nick Chubb they are dead on the offensive side of the ball.

While frustrating, things like this are correctable and will get better as the defense plays together more.
