The point was they didn't do it at all. They mostly rushed 4 all game and when they did blitz, they sent 5. They never sent 6 which is what Hurts struggled with last year. Even if he did well against a conventional blitz you would think they would try a zero blitz at least once or twice.

lolwut? There have been multiple examples of ex-teammates criticizing him over several years. Looong before these political issues you referred to. TJ Lang, Sammy Watkins, Greg Jennings, Jermichael Finley, even Jordan Love recently implied he rubbed some of the younger players the wrong way. So no, a GM of another team is certainly not all we have.

Criticizing him as a human being? Because that's what this is all about. I haven't seen anyone directly on the record say they didn't like Rodgers as a person or say he was a bad guy.

His family says that.

Oh so you didn't read the articles. That's cool, man.

Eagles line has already moved a point to - 6.5

Well, one of the articles talked about confusion among the younger receivers in Green Bay during his last season about the hand-signals he was using. I don't know if that's much of an attack on his personal character as much as guys just being confused. The other one talked about Greg Jennings being offended by a joke. And Jennings is/was a talking head on Fox Sports so I don't know how much of that is just attention seeking. And the other article was behind a paywall.

I think Rodgers is a weird guy, but if you play almost 20 years somewhere I'm sure you can find a few people to say something negative about you. I can't recall any player or coach from the Jets leaking anything about him. And I don't recall other good/great players he played with like Davante Adams, Clay Matthews, Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Charles Woodson or others saying anything negative.

A lot of the Rodgers hate doesn't stem from him being outspoken politically or on current events like he was with COVID. It's because a majority of sports media are progressive and Rodgers doesn't agree with those talking points. They dislike him because he goes against the grain of what one is "supposed" to support.

As someone else said, if Rodgers did Pfizer commercials, endorsed Kamala Harris, and went on Stephen Colbert, he'd be a media darling.

One was pay walled. I skimmed the second one quickly.

What part of what I previously said isn't true?

🤔.  He doesn't have the arm strength to put it there and couldn't even get it to where Brown was.   There are far too many people trying to make this anything other than a terrible decision.

1 - He left a perfectly good pocket.   Step up and deliver the ball to Goedert at the pylon or maybe a couple yards deep into the end zone... easy pitch and catch.  If he steps up and releases it when he chooses to bail the pocket, its an easy TD.

2 - Rather than pointing to AJ (who is already wide open) he needs to unload the ball immediately leading him to the top of the "E", which wouldn't be across his body as much, but rather just straight down the field - an easier throw.

3 - By the time he releases it, he's moved further outside and now he's trying to torque his body around to get the ball to Brown, but doesn't have the arm strength to get it there.  (That type of throw is almost exclusively based on pure arm strength.  And only a few NFL QBs have that type of cannon.  Hurts isn't one of them.)

It was a bad play by Hurts.

It was not a clean pocket and there was no room to step up. It was a bad decision. The pointing involving AJ was because his route was already over and it was scramble drill time. Despite it being a bad decision and across his body, if AJ doesn't slip it's a 50/50 ball.

Making a bad decision worse was the situation. That is not the time for a 50/50 ball when an easy FG puts you ahead by 8 points in the 4th.

But please ... "clean pocket" ...  "step up" ... only if you want your QB getting hit while he throws and the ball likely being deflected. Brown and Smith were the first two reads and that's a shame because Goedert had the best separation / win. Becton was practically on skates on the play and was driven back into the spot a QB would need to step into. IMO, bailing was the correct decision because it opens up the door for throwing it away without grounding to preserve the FG.

Invisible. They're quick-twitch guys who rely on speed. The field was like a frozen pond and they had no chance. That's why BG played so much. His game is based on power.

How much did you see BG inside?  I felt like i saw 55 way too often for my liking in there.

Guys, can't we just make fun of a guy who dragged out his retirement decision for months while he went on a hallucinogen fueled "darkness retreat" without bringing politics into it?

TJ Lang was critical of Rodgers comments about players needing to be benched and Watkins comments about two "offenses in one" implied Rodgers butting heads with the coaching staff made it harder for everyone else on the offense to get on the same page. Then there was Finley's comments from years prior questioning his leadership and saying that Rodgers was too self-centered. So I'll say it again since you seem to have missed it: He's been accused of being too arrogant and selfish long before covid or that Lombardo article. The notion that only person who had bad things to say about him was a GM from another team is demonstrably false. It's okay to concede he didn't get along with everyone, as it's not uncommon for QBs of his level to come off as a bit of a diva.

See above.

CMC out tonight. Worst start to a fantasy season of all time I think.

Good for Eagles though.

If that lingers, they are done.  I rode him all last season to my league championship win.  I told myself I wouldn't draft him again (because I never get lucky 2 year in a row).  I never had the chance at the choice - someone else grabbed him at 4...so I took Bijan later (lot of good he'll do me if Cousins sucks this year)

As someone who doesn't do fantasy... the reactions I'm seeing are hilarious. I know a lot of people that picked him

I love BG matched up against a guard on passing downs in a Fangio defense, for really obvious reasons.

Why would you draft him knowing he had a calf injury.

…? Why would you draft CMC? Is that a serious question?
