Metallica has been shunned for at least the last decade. Unless they have flat out declined an invitation (which i don't think they'd do considering they've participated in opening ceremonies for baseball games) it's a crime they haven't been asked.

Same for Nickleback, amirite?

What not to do as the civilian or police officer 101 on display here. Many lawsuits coming. Also didn’t know he had surgery on his knee hope no one drafted him 😎

If you listen closely around the 1:20 mark you can hear Tyreek say "I need a lawyer, call Random Reglar”

Pretty sure most people think Nickleback as being not quite worthy of SB entertainment status

It was not a clean pocket and there was no room to step up. It was a bad decision. The pointing involving AJ was because his route was already over and it was scramble drill time. Despite it being a bad decision and across his body, if AJ doesn't slip it's a 50/50 ball.

Making a bad decision worse was the situation. That is not the time for a 50/50 ball when an easy FG puts you ahead by 8 points in the 4th.

But please ... "clean pocket" ...  "step up" ... only if you want your QB getting hit while he throws and the ball likely being deflected. Brown and Smith were the first two reads and that's a shame because Goedert had the best separation / win. Becton was practically on skates on the play and was driven back into the spot a QB would need to step into. IMO, bailing was the correct decision because it opens up the door for throwing it away without grounding to preserve the FG.

This was when he chose to bail.  Plenty of room to step up on the LG and make a throw.

Not sure what the media has to do with any of this. Your whole rant started after one guy in the blog saying he hated having to cheer for Rodgers and you then made a bunch of assumptions after that. Seems like you got weirdly defensive about another team's QB over an innocuous comment.

It wasn’t really a rant it was more analysis on the media’s criticisms of Rodgers. It was more apropos of nothing than based on the comments in this thread. I think the media has an agenda against him and the topic being discussed brought that to mind so I wanted to bring up my Rodgers take because I felt it was topical.

Also Tyreek’s first instinct is to get Drew Rosenhaus on the horn

The cop (or cops, I’m not sure) placed on administrative leave before kickoff kinda gave it away

I figured because Tyreek is a domestic abuser there was a 25% chance it was mostly his fault but no the cop is to blame.  And people can stop with he was giving them attitude. Cops are supposed to be professionals who de-escalate situations. They clearly did not feel threatened so their actions were purely to exert power and escalate.

In understand that the Super Bowl Halftime Show is way beyond me as an audience now, especially since Jay-Z is the one in charge of it, but I'd love to see the NFL post Kendrick Lamar's lyrics and tell us why he's a good choice. I love rap music, mostly pre-2010 and more specifically 90s/00s rap, but I would never expect Wu-Tang to be the halftime show when they were at their peak. I think the goal of the SB Halftime should be to unite and bring people together as well as being a top entertainer, but it appears this one is already being touted as full of hate and division based on Kendrick/Drake beef. Not sure what artists or bands are out there are universally loved. Shoot, I'm 43 and reliving my emo phase as my favorite bands are all touring small venues but I'd never expect bands I like to even sniff the SB.

Now get off my lawn.

The NFL hasn't had a single "artist" that makes me think "football." I find the halftime shows insulting to football fans because they are trying to sell a completely different product to viewers who couldn't even tell you what a third down is.

I think some of the best NFL films productions combine music and highlights, so I'm not against music at games, but the best, most relevant form of football music is marching bands:

Wu-Tang performing at halftime would’ve been amazing.

"Triumph,” "C.R.E.A.M.,” "Bring Da Ruckus,” "It’s Yourz,” and let’s not forget the unpredictability of ODB. 😂

I would have loved it, but I know it wouldn't go over well.

As the head R word on the EMB, I should be allowed to say R.

Kind of feels like this Mcaffrey injury could be the first domino in a SB hangover season.

I would watch a TV show that just follows Drew around who has to play fixer for all his athlete clients

I loved Ari Gold’s character so I would love such a show

Yeah, white people run everything.

Was probably smart on his end. Rosenhaus has been around Miami forever, is his agent, would do whatever he needed, and he’d probably be the first guy I call too.

Have you watched the Wu-Chronicles on Hulu? Highly recommend if you haven't.

Honestly, I wish Hurts picked the left side over the right side. He throws to Goedert for likely a TD.

At the same time, you can tell the play was called for Devonta and they doubled him.

I’m not aware of a show with that name. I watched Wu-Tang: An American Saga, though.

Funny story about that show. My aunt and I used to run a vintage Etsy store a few years back, and one of the set decorators bought some plates from us to use on the show. It was a cool moment.

Kyle is good at calling plays except in the super bowl

I wish the lions had won after that shetty SB playcalling by him

I'm a little sick of these entitled athletes acting above the law. A lot of cops had him pulled over. That leads me to believe he already tried something stupid. Then, the whole time he's on the phone with his agent instead of cooperating with the officers. Poor guy .... waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.  "I just had surgery .... "

he's a documented idiot.
