The NFLPA takes a very active interest in player contracts for obvious reasons.  They're all for players getting deals that drive the market up, and will pressure players not to sign deals that can reset the market downward.  There's no way Purdy is signing anything much below the current QB market rate.

He'll be close to $50M AAV, if not over.

He missed time but he played in 6 of their last 9 games. The 3 games he missed were weeks 13-15. 

Last 6 games with Bakhtiari:

61.5% with 10 tds to 6 ints and 89 Qb rating 

3 games without bakhtiari (bye week was also in here week 14)

64.7% with 3 tds and 2 ints and 85 Qb rating

the right tackle position they actually began with Jenkins when he returned week 2. But he was not good at RT so in week 7 they moved him back inside. Interior oline was actually good with Meyers and Jenkins and eventually Runyan jr.  after moving Jenkins had had Nijman with Zach tom. kind of replacing him towards the end of the year (not due to injury). Runyan, Meyers and Jenkins were all healthy most of the year. Combined missed 2 games. Their RT was not great all year.

I know on Saturday they had him listed as questionable. So I’m guessing they are going to say they were going to try to see if on Monday he could go through warm-ups if he could play. But realized it wasn’t worth playing him and decided to sit him.

The point was just so incredibly unnecessary, the receiver was already running there he just told the defense where he was going
