Correct.  And they replaced Jurgens at RG with another guy that blocks out the sun.   Across the front there's the 6'8" wide body of Mailata, The equally wide, but slightly more diminutive Dickerson at 6'6"... Jurgens at a mere 6'3" in the middle, flanked by Becton at 6'7" and Johnson at only 6'6".

Hurts standing at only 6'1" has to be tough.  There have been highly successful QBs around that height, like Drew Brees, but it requires greater anticipation than Hurts currently possesses.

If Hurts in the shoot-gun position, the heights in front of him diminish.  It is a matter of angle.  If he takes the snap under the center, then it would be more an issue.

Bradham had games like that when he was here - just all over the field making tackles.

Bradham was criminally underrated when he was here, especially his first few years. If Baun mirrors his production, it's a huge win.

Thoughts on Tyrique Stevenson winning Defensive player of the week over Baun?  4 tackles but had a pick 6 on a horrible throw

The NFL may not have realized the Eagles had linebackers.

Bradham's issue was that he dropped too many interceptions.

Not gonna crush Huff for one game, but it's hard not to question his decision-making. Dude was slipping around all game, must not have changed his cleats.

Will give the DL a pass for Week 1

I couldn't rush the QB on a slip n slide either

If the same issues present Week 2, then I'm calling every bad team in the league about their best Edge Rusher

For a second I thought this dude was doing the Raygun break dance. Still waiting for that TD celebration :)

Will be cool to see the guys on a good surface but man that worries me... Super Bowl flashbacks. If these dudes can't get to the QB unless they have perfect field conditions that's a problem :(

Fangio seems to shoot pretty straight in these press conferences so if we're to read what he's saying it's that Huff is basically 4th in line behind Sweat, Smith, and Graham. I doubt that stays the same. I hope at least.

I was watching a video on YouTube where the guy broke down Huff's snaps.  It was something like 30 snaps.  14 of them were pass rushing snaps.  10 of those the ball was out in under 2.5 seconds (where most edge rushers have no shot at getting to QB).  Which left him with like 4 actual snap and 2 or 3 of them he was chipped.  Said he still had the fastest get off time of all the Eagles DL by a good margin.  It was not Bryce Huff producing the content.

Lets see what he can do week 2

Reports say Saquon Barkley is moving up the OPOY and MVP Charts after his blockbuster performance in Brazil and winning NFC OPOW.   OK, it's just one game but I'm happy he was able to effortlessly fit into our Offense just like that. I do not think he will be doing 25 carries a game the whole season.    We need him ready for the playoffs but so far so good for Saquon.

No kidding…or hope he doesn’t get benched.  I picked up the Jags D for my team this week.  Surprised nobody else in my league put a claim in…

So many fantasy players ignore the value of streaming defense by looking at their opponent. Huge value to be had there, and allows you to draft defense late as well.

I think Saquon is going to get a LOT of touches.

You don’t pay a RB that kind of money unless you expect him to be a work horse.

The key is going to be resting him in the 4th quarter of some blowout wins and securing the playoff bye early to get him some rest.

I remember Brees taking these large steps back. He wasn't really mobile but he was quick in the pocket. He also was good at passing lanes and very accurate

Also, he was Drew Brees.😂

It won't be 25 carries a game, but I'm not of the notion that his workload needs to be babied. Especially early on in games and if it helps put the game out of reach by the 4th quarter in some of these matchups. You paid him for a reason and the reality of the RB position is that the shelf-life isn't very long. I think you have this season and next as his peak levels so they need to take advantage of it. He should be averaging around 20 touches a game.

I gotta disagree. Those turnovers did have impact. Gave Greenbay points in a very close game.

Was referring to PFF grades. INTs, TDs, etc ... don't affect the grade for the play. It's just about what the player did correctly, incorrectly, well, or poorly --- not the final outcome.

I want more Shipley and Barkley, two back looks.

Not a bad idea given we only have one functional TE…

Shipley and Kenny are there too, so well see how they are utilized but yes I expect him to carry the load this year.  He's also very effective in the passing game as well, that TD in the corner was crazy.

I don't see any reason NOT to read Fangio's comments directly at face value.  He got the least number of snaps, because he didn't earn more than that.   So, yes, he's behind Sweat, Smith and Graham.  And if he wants to see more PT, he's going to have to earn it by producing.

Sadly, Huff was a one year wonder that the Eagles signed hoping that that one year was a harbinger of things to come.  He needs to show that he's worth the money they gave him.  At this point, he's a disappointment, and its not the clueless fans who are pointing to his complete shut out statistically, it is the DC of the team saying that he needs to be better.  And, he's right.

Hopefully this lights a fire under him and in better conditions on Monday night we see him produce.   Hassan Reddick didn't do much his first two weeks with the Eagles either.  So, there's no reason to lose all hope.   But, at the same time, Ryan Kerrigan also didn't do much in his first two weeks with the Eagles, and that never changed.

Everyone was slipping all game. Thats what happens when you play on a soccer specific pitch: they are intentionally designed to be slick so the soccer ball moves predictably.

I am slightly worried about our pass rush too. We need a nasty **** like parsons - would love him here.

BG - old

sweat - meh

smith - undersized

huff - unproven

Let’s hope huff can do something in the next couple of games as if he doesnt we’ll need to get someone in
