Nope.  But I’ve never been to a Buffalo Wild Wings, so that doesn’t surprise me.

Literally the worst wings I’ve ever had.

Tua made it through last season without any issue. And he only had the one season where he had concussions. I think people are being a little too quick with the doom scenario for his career. A lot will depend on how soon he's cleared. With Luke Kuechly, it would take weeks before he was fully recovered and that was more of a tell that "it was time."

If Tua is cleared and wants to continue to play, It might not be a bad decision for him to wear the guardian cap for extra protection. This is supposedly his 3rd concussion in the NFL but probably is really his 4th. He also has a long list of other injuries since college. It's pretty easy to conclude he's just more susceptible to injuries (including concussions) than the average player.

Like I said, a lot should depend on how soon he is cleared ... or if he starts acting like Antonio Brown.

Not a huge loss. To this day, Ben VanSumeren has surpassed him as a player. Elliss wouldn't have even made this year's team.

The only time I ever got food poisoning was at a BWW.  It was also the only time I have ever been to one.

Fair, but last year it sucked.  Just calling out a risk when he does this.

Last year, we needed better LB play. When Elliss had to come in, he was terrible. We were clearing a space for Shaq Leonard and had already elevated BVS the max times and had just added him to the active roster the week before.

Man I really feel for Tua. If he ends up taking another concussion or two his future quality of life is going to seriously be compromised, if it isn't already.

If the NFL truly cares about player safety, they should step in and ask him to retire. He's had 3 of the ugliest concussions we've ever seen and I don't think it's even close.

You can't tell someone to retire.

I think this is a case where they should. How can anyone say Tua should play again? We're watching the man become crippled before our eyes. Maybe they can't force him to retire but help with some sort of incentives with the Dolphins to ease any contract issues? It's a tightrope situation for sure.

Buffalo Wild Wings is amazing

(I used to bang a BWW hostess )

No they lost Christian Ellis because they had to sign that bum Leonard to the 53

Just read an article from a year ago where Tua said he considered retirement after the 2022 season because of the concussions. I’d venture to guess that he runs through the medical tests to sort out the contract and either walks away from his remaining guaranteed money or is able to take it some if not all.

If he’s cleared he can only take the 43M paid this year. If he’s medically forced into retirement he can take the remaining 124M. I’d imagine some sort of settlement is likely.

Elliss wasn’t lost last year by releasing him off the practice squad. He was lost when the Eagles released him off the 53 man roster with the *intention* of signing him to the PS. The Patriots claimed him on waivers. This isn’t the same scenario at all as what they’re currently doing with Sterns and Stoll.

Agree.  Complete trash.  Tried on multiple occasions and they disappointed each time.

He has four but they tried to play one off as a back injury

Thank you. I couldn’t remember how that went down

I like some of their sauces so I do stop in to buy those by the bottle…but yeah, it’s far too easy to make much better wings at home

Congrats to Hurts

You can’t ask/force a guy to retire and forfeit $170 million in guarantees. I’m sure there is some middle ground where he gets a settlement if a neurologist doesn’t clear him. Maybe he has an insurance policy as well. But the guaranteed money is going to be a sticking point.

Yes... and No.   That was a case of them not wanting to expose someone else from the roster because they had used up their 3 elevations from the PS, IIRC.  I think it came down to Van Sumeran vs. Elliss.   But, it really could have been Rashad Penny vs. Elliss.   There was zero reason to carry Penny or Alex O. on the roster all year.

I've never been, but their wing sauce available in the grocery store is REALLY good.    I love their Garlic Parmesan sauce.   (but I do my own wings.   I preferred my wings smoked versus fried.  Much tastier, imo.).

For legal and moral reasons a team or NFL can't ask a player to retire. That has to violate something. Morally at the very least. A doctor can tell him that if he gets another concussion that his long term health could be severely compromised, but a team or NFL can't ask a player to retire.
