Need to win this game because no chance of beating the Saints without AJ and no chance of beating the Bucs without him either if he isn't ready for that one too.

Sounds like Sirianni's fault.

...Oh wait, he's not calling the offense anymore. Maybe a QB problem?

Sadly he’s made more plays this game than sweat, huff, smith, Davis and Carter combined.
his sack that was negated bec of a penalty is the best play the dline has made

He only got there because of the penalty. He was beat on the play gave him more time

I’m not saying it won’t work out but I’m tired of the Fangio style defense with minimal blitzing. I get some of the individual performances have been disappointing, but not every team can have a guy that wins his one on one at every position.

Plus it’s just more fun to watch an aggressive defense.

No one is getting open on these plays being called.

If he can be a top 10-12 QB (which he can be) then with the talent we have yeah it can be.

Isn’t that crazy that he’s paid top 5 money and you’re hoping for average? LOL

Maybe our first round picks at DT can make some plays. Maybe our expensive edge rushers? Maybe our first round edge who isn’t even better than a guy we cut earlier today?

That's not an unfair angle, but at some point the GM has to take the heat for making the wrong moves. It may be too early to say that now, but there were clearly better pass rushers available in free agency than Bryce Huff. Howie went with the young guy, because the Eagles, as they always do, over-correct, and Howie didn't want another Bradberry mistake on his hands so they steered clear of Hunter and got rid of Reddick. And Nolan Smith just looks like a bad pick. Davis has looked like a bust ever since he's been in the league. They took Milton Williams over McNeill. Maybe the GM just made bad decisions on that part of the team.

BG is their best DL right now sadly.

I thought 4th and 6 was a little too far to go for it there.

It was at the 4

He was there alone. What’s the excuse for the rest of the dline on that play no where near cousins?

Davis has been the only player on the defensive line to make some plays tonight.

This was really the week many of us said they needed a clean win.  Enough of the ugly wins.  Not getting it.

At this point, you just gotta hope they manage to hang on tonight to win, and the cleanliness starts more once they get over their mental cramps.  There's too much talent on this offense to play like this consistently.  Heads are still up their collective backsides from last year it seems.

Yannick Ngakoue is still out there, he wanted to be an eagle a few years ago…can’t be any worse than who they have now

I feel pretty confident that the 2024 Eagles are going to be the 2023 Eagles without the collapse and without the inexplicably lucky 10-1 run at the beginning.  They’ll play like the team from early/mid 2023, just won’t ring up that many wins.

For our mental health, this is preferable.

Ex: We are getting blown out next week.

Sirianni's offense isn't effective then, should fire him.

My bad. I misinterpreted the post. I thought we were talking about the Eagles’ failed fourth down attempt. I’m too annoyed to read.

Sure looks like we are running Sirianni's offense tonight.

No I’m saying if he’s at least average. All contracts keep going up…

Carr and Mayfield would shred this Defense to bits. Tonight seems like a must win.

Anyone still think we're gonna work at 5pt favorites on the road against the Saints?

Kyle Hamilton is one of the best safeties in the game and doesn't come off the field. Jordan Davis doesn't make nearly enough impact on the 48% of the snaps he plays.

He sucks. It’s unfortunate he’s our qb for the foreseeable future

Bring back Patrick and bench Smith

Fully agree. Don't need Maddox on the field. Add a bigger body on the LOS and put the ball in Kirk's hands.

This defense has done better in the red zone, but the issues of bad run D and no pressure are the same as last year. They look somewhat more competent, but the problems are still obvious. It all starts up front and they are not getting it done.
