It's a coaching issue. HC is an immature moron hence the sloppiness.

Retread didn't work, they need to get this smooth brain bum out of the building ASAP

This team needs a reset. Starting with the HC.

I hope they lose by 40 next week to NO.

This is such headhunting. No blame to Moore for such a middling offensive performance and game plan with all the talent he's given? Nothing? Hilarious. I think if anything this whole thing showed that Sirianni is not really where this bad mentality stuff comes from. Eagles are still making some of the same odd decisions that Andy Reid made when he was here. Why do you think that is?

Doug Pederson made some of them too. Why do you think that is?

Almost like the common denominator, is the Eagles organization front office itself, of which changed leaders exactly one time, and last I checked it changed from mentor to student. Getting cute is a top-down problem.

I think simply put, you'll see those kind of issues unless you can get a head coach that is so good they can compensate for the weaknesses of the organization. Someone who will say 'no' to the whole organization, and then prove their philosophy. Good luck finding that when they specifically pick these types of people intentionally.

No, it was a bad play call. Just because he was open doesn’t make it a good play call.

Players drop passes. Even wide open ones. That’s why you don’t take the risk. It would have been a bad play call even if it converted.

This is like a Boa Constrictor who is wrapped around its prey’s neck. The snake doesn’t release its grasp just to get a better leverage point. It just squeezes and sucks the life out of you.

That is what we should always, 100% of the time, do in that situation. You run it. You burn time off the clock. Maybe you get the first down, maybe you don’t, but you then leave yourself with lots of options:

Tush push if it’s just short or field goal with LESS time on the clock.

I am beyond furious right now. It’s just dumb risk taking.

He was wide open and he dropped it. If he catches it, game over. Players need to execute.

The Falcons could have marched down and scored a TD in 60 seconds no problem.

Our pass rush is so bad. The Steelers dominated this OL with ease.

Real talk this defense is cooked, it’s total ass

I think, by now, we know this is not going to be a good pass rush or a particularly good DL.  The real question is if our first glance sense of panic is accurate…that they are completely dead on arrival.

But this also speaks to the draft philosophy.  Everyone can say all they want about how Davis is so stout against the run and is going to be a good pick because he impacts the game in many ways without filling up the stat sheet as a pass rusher.  But we have ENORMOUS capital sitting in DTs that are doing almost nothing to disrupt the passing game when we sure could use some of that investment on the edge.

And their best DL today was a 5th round pick from another team in Thomas Booker. Jordan Davis gives this team nothing. I don't care if they don't play the same position, Booker deserves more PT. Davis isn't on the field half the time anyway.

Jalen Carter, paging Jalen Carter. Sorry, haven't been impressed with him one bit this year. Stay on your damn feet. Attack with good angles. Get off a block and hustle.

We lost to Primetime Kirk Cousins on one leg. Fire everyone!

Should have happened last year. Siri brings nothing to the team in terms of X and Os, and his decision making in big spots is now costing us games.

Howie had a terrible offseason. He does what he always does, he over-corrects and gets cute. He saw the Niners get to a SB with CMC and thought "That's what I want too!" and if they wanted Barkley, that's fine, but they neglected other positions typically value way more. He went away from their typical model.

I hate building around RBs…it’s a guarantee to come up short.  But we are 0-2 without Barkley right now.

Hurry up to the stadium and drive your boy home. After that throw, you won't have to worry about him holding his head up

As much as you keep his manhood down your throat I think you got it covered lovergirl

I can't even bring myself to blame the D for the last drive. Once you see such a dumb call to lose the game, you just know it's over.

Yup. It was over the second they decided to throw the ball. Stupid Fing playcall. How there isn't a mandate from the HC to run the Fing ball is mind boggling

Nick did not learn from the Seattle or Arizona games when he kicked that FG. You play to win.

I’d put the new OC right next to Sirianni. I thought the dope playcalling was supposed to stop with the new OC?

That's what we were made to believe, but this offense looks exactly the same minus a few designed runs and WR screens

While I agree with you, I think the Eagles have to bash their collective heads against that wall until the wall either breaks down or they knock themselves out in the process.  You can’t have a $250m qb with all-world WRs that can’t throw the ball in big spots and has to run first as a battering ram.

They are going nowhere unless that reality changes.  So they might as well risk losing games trying to change it and get Hurts right rather than treat him like a rookie or a backup QB.

I don't buy that. You can win with Hurts if you can get him to make one quick read and then either throw it or run.

Run on 3rd and 4, if you have to run on 4th again.

How does TATE know that but not our HC?

I'm tired boss...

How can you not blame a defense for giving up a TD that quickly

Davis hasn’t done much to disrupt the run game this year either. I’m ready to call it with him. He’s a league average nose tackle.

Against Atlanta you can.  3-4 playoff games?

Saquon play was a good call. You expect an NFL RB to catch a wide open 6 yard pass in stride, or Hurts goes down and the clock runs.

You give up a TD drive with like a minute left?

You throw that kind of BS INT at the end when your kicker can bomb from 60+?

You get no pass rush from anyone other than Milton Williams for one play?

This was as soul-crushing a regular season loss as we've ever had in the Sirianni era. An abomination.

Please just fire Sirriani and elevate Big Dom to HC already.

We kick that FG early we win. Thanks Nick.

They got home. We didn't.

Good play bad drop.

There are 11+ players on defense who were bigger problems, coaches, 2 penalties on the center, etc etc but some people on here just decide to blame Hurts.

Fans always tend to oversimplify things in a sport like this. All the moving parts, strategy, and circumstances of every play are pretty complex. Tons of permutations to consider if X didn't happen or player Y made a different play or coach Z made a different decision. Naturally that means some people just prefer to ignore all that and lean into confirmation bias. In this case, it's the player who threw the pick to end the game while ignoring why he was even on the field in that position in the first place. Because our defense let the opposing offense score too quickly

I just can't take anyone seriously who blames Hurts instead of our defense or defensive coordinator after watching the end of that game unfold. It makes me feel so stupid for even bothering to post here at all.

IF.

IF.

IF.

That is EXACTLY why you NEVER take that risk.

It’s not guaranteed.
