How can you not blame a defense for giving up a TD that quickly

Because once you see that insanely dumb play it completely deflates. The team's fear was confirmed in that moment that their HC is a moron and they aren't going anywhere with him at the helm.

It’s one play on the last TD and the Eagles will NEVER cause this stir…(and Slay will mouth off if they did)…but the time is approaching that Ringo will surpass Slay as a better option.

I don’t remember hating a whole coaching staff and qb this much in my life.

That's your boy. He might be so upset he'll let you slip it in him tonight inside of you being the power bottom you usually are

Last week they passed to Smith successfully at the end of the game.  And they fumbled the tush push that would have put them up 8.

I don't mind the play call.  It worked earlier in the game.

I mind not going for it on 4th down.  Teams will generally work to tie when behind by three points.  Going up 6 made ATL more aggressive.

It's a shame that Hollywood Lurie has fallen in love with the idea of such a passive defense after Jim Johnson carried him to early success as an owner.

Retread didn't work, they need to get this smooth brain bum out of the building ASAP

Wasn't him. Eagles came together to get someone calling the plays now who also gets cute. It's almost like the FO likes these kind of people, and they keep trying to find someone 'smarter' who can 'make it work'.

But of course people were saying they should just give Moore the HC job because Sirianni is a "cheerleader". Not turning out well so far, but maybe Moore just needs more games?

Against Atlanta you can.  3-4 playoff games?

100% you can if the play calling is tight.

Should have happened last year. Siri brings nothing to the team in terms of X and Os, and his decision making in big spots is now costing us games.

I know man, I didn't want him back.

We'll be 1-3 at the bye, maybe they'll pull the plug then

It's week 2, we have a talented team, and you already know it's over for this season.

Lowie p****** out by not cleaning house and keeping Siri.

There really would have been no justification to fire him last year, at least through the lens of the coaching community. I don’t think we were getting a top candidate, considering he saw two Super Bowl coaches before him ran off at the first real sign of trouble. He did right bringing him back. This job will look good in a year with a candidate knowing Sirianni got a fair shake.

Barkley had 4.3 yards average. I still can’t believe they decided to throw

It's finesse based on both offense and defense. Glad someone else figured out it's a top down problem though.

While I agree with you, I think the Eagles have to bash their collective heads against that wall until the wall either breaks down or they knock themselves out in the process.  You can’t have a $250m qb with all-world WRs that can’t throw the ball in big spots and has to run first as a battering ram.

They are going nowhere unless that reality changes.  So they might as well risk losing games trying to change it and get Hurts right rather than treat him like a rookie or a backup QB.

What all world wrs? Covey? There is Smitty which is a compliment to AJ and that’s it lol

No Slay, huh?

I wouldn't argue if you put him on there too. The whole defense was garbage outside of Booker and that one tackle by CJGJ.

Without any emotion in your answer, purely objective, does Nick survive a 1-3 start?

We can only hope! With this roster they should be aiming higher than 1-3 at the bye. They shouldn’t have brought him back and sticking with him is going to derail our season.

This is the NFL. Crap happens. Nothing excuses them letting a team march the field that quickly. The call to throw it to SB wasn't bad. He just dropped it.

This is such headhunting. No blame to Moore for such a middling offensive performance and game plan with all the talent he's given? Nothing? Hilarious. I think if anything this whole thing showed that Sirianni is not really where this bad mentality stuff comes from. Eagles are still making some of the same odd decisions that Andy Reid made when he was here. Why do you think that is?

Doug Pederson made some of them too. Why do you think that is?

Almost like the common denominator, is the Eagles organization front office itself, of which changed leaders exactly one time, and last I checked it changed from mentor to student. Getting cute is a top-down problem.

I think simply put, you'll see those kind of issues unless you can get a head coach that is so good they can compensate for the weaknesses of the organization. Someone who will say 'no' to the whole organization, and then prove their philosophy. Good luck finding that when they specifically pick these types of people intentionally.

The common denominator is Hurts. Coaching is limited by that brain dead qb running the show..

As much as I hate Dallas, their offense was top 5 every year with this OC. You literally have no idea if hurts is going to complete a pass when he drops back. He sucks. He got paid off of one fluke season. Crazy how he can’t duplicate any of that success.

It’s poor situational management. Got to keep the clock running. And what happened to us knowing in 3rd and short situations we have the brotherly shove available so we are in 4 down territory every time? Sirianni is an idiot.

That is EXACTLY why you NEVER take that risk.

It’s not guaranteed.

Exactly. I can't fathom how people are defending that play call

I’m guessing lurie doesn’t fire him. He probably gets the year unless it really unravels

The Saints game could be ugly...

Yes.
And he should.

Disagree, you don't waste a season of a talented team for optics reason, because that's what we have done waste a full season by keeping that moron.
