Seems like a Doug Pederson kind of risk. Maybe it's just me.

I don’t know who called the play.

Normally, I like aggression.

Hell, I would have been happy going for it on 4th down IF we had ran the ball and got a little closer to the first down marker.

It was just getting cute and not understanding risk.

I've seen too much of a sample size to make an honest assessment of Moore, but I think he'll be HC at some point this season.

What I do know is that pivotal playcalls that end in abject failiure have Nicks' fingerprints all over them, there's a pattern and it needs to end.

He literally doesn't call the plays. Everyone was calling him a cheerleader all off-season to make fun of him, but now all of a sudden he's not a cheerleader when someone needs to be blamed? People are being so illogical it's crazy and have all off-season.

Slowik, Johnson, Kubiak will be the hot names.

All 3 would be day 1 upgrades over Siri.

He is easily the worst HC in the NFCE.

Nick Sirianni said there was a mechanism on the 3rd and 3 pass play call where if it’s not wide open, Jalen Hurts sits down and takes a sack. (At that point they’d then run clock and kick the FG.

HOWIESZN

Really awkward coaching situation.  Things will *probably* get better this year.  They aren’t going anywhere, but they will make the playoffs…probably wont win a game, but could nab one.

They won’t play well enough for Kellen Moore to get HC offers.  Not seeing that from this offense.  So they could bring back the same coaching staff next year.  But no one is really going to respect Siriani heading into 2025.

But a new HC is complicated.  Lurie ain’t hiring a defensive HC.  So that means another year, another coach, another system for Hurts.  We’ll just be chasing our tails with his same issues again.  And if they did want a new HC with continuity for Hurts, that’s going to be new Lowie levels of meddling to bring in a HC who will be forced into Moore as the OC with this system.

Unless they want to name Kellen Moore the HC, I think they are stuck with this staff until they blow it up.

It was a good, aggressive, killer mentality play call. You can't be afraid to do that and expect to win a SB.

I do see both sides. They really should have just run the ball there. Line up and run Barkley with your best run. Why gamble. But the play call they went with actually worked, Barkley just choked. You can't have your 13.5 mil rb not catch a very short pass right into his hands. That's why he is here. Totally inexcusable.
But Fangio's prevent defense, wow, was that bad. I lost a lot of confidence in him tonight. That might have been one of the worst prevent performances of all time. And I thought he was going to compensate for the lack of a pass rush by coming up with unpredictable blitzes, he did nothing, f'n nothing. Atlanta's run game was very effective too when he knew it was coming. Complete trash performance and I don't see how it gets better.
Some of Howie's higher draft picks and signings are also not panning out. AJ shows how much he means to this team and to think, people were actually trying to run him out of town at one point for no reason

Quinn hired Kliff Kingsbury. He sucks. So does Daboll.

Or you just RUN THE F'IN BALL!!!

We can only hope! With this roster they should be aiming higher than 1-3 at the bye. They shouldn’t have brought him back and sticking with him is going to derail our season.

I was cautiously optimistic, with Moore's input, but I don't think it's enough and Nick still has too much say.

Still better than Siri.

Alright - going to bed.  Lucky for me I’ll still sleep like a baby cause I realized a long time ago that these guys don’t care about winning or losing they care only about getting paid.  And each one of those MFers is leaving the stadium in a 6 figure car with millions in their bank accounts.  Not worth getting too worked up over.

Who would have guessed that MIN, TB, NO, and SEA would be the remaining undefeated teams in the NFC?

Gonna be a strange year I think.

If you want more sprint action on the play, running toss like has existed for a long ass time would have made so much more sense. The play call was ridiculous mostly because you could have achieved a similar effect in a way that was far less risky. But as I mentioned earlier, the Eagles have a history of ignoring certain types of run plays. Toss is one of them. Very rarely called.

WHAT? If he's not open, you don't take the sack you RUN THE BALL. It's Jalen Hurts with the ball in his hands against a defense that crashed inside.

How many touches did Covey get tonight?  It was probably more than twice the offensive touches in his previous career

What did he do for a living before this?

That mediocre ass offense went all the way down in mere seconds. I can't get over how pathetic that was. That was Patricia esque. Maybe Patricia wasn't the problem. Maybe the talent on that side of the ball just blows. Fangio through two weeks has not made this defense an ounce better in any regard. That defensive effort tonight looked like a carbon copy of late 2023 Eagles.

Everyone should've known going in that the defense doesn't have the talent to succeed. They got zero pressure all last year, they added some dude who played exclusively on 3rd downs and he was supposed to he the difference? The backfired is improved but when the QB has 30 seconds to throw the ball dudes are gonna be open

They desperately need AJ back by the Bucs game.

No crap. Literally all you need is for an NFL player to catch a wide open 6 yard pass.

This is negligent coaching. Even Chip Kelly is not that dumb. Even Mike Groh was not that dumb.

WTF man.
