They looked so good in the second half until the drop.

  • Three possessions.  Three trips to the red zone.
  • They took 9 minutes off the clock on their TD drive.
  • Stopped ATL on fourth down.
  • They faced a 2nd and 18 on the final drive and converted.

Barkley's hands aren't an inherent problem for this team.

A lack of pass rush is.  And a fatal one.

I was cautiously optimistic, with Moore's input, but I don't think it's enough and Nick still has too much say.

Not enough to overcome a bad coach

Bad defensive scheme

DL that can't generate pressure

QB1 who makes horrible and dumb decisions

Keep in mind the Falcons D had just given up an 8 min drive 🤢🤮

WHAT? If he's not open, you don't take the sack you RUN THE BALL. It's Jalen Hurts with the ball in his hands against a defense that crashed inside.

He's talking about the play not the situation.

Hurts’ career will go the way of Wentz if he has another new OC and system to install next year.  He’s not the kind of guy who is going to pick it up fast.  So keep that in mind when saying fire Siri.  If Kellen Moore isn’t running the offense next year, that’s going to be a problem.

Fire him

If you want more sprint action on the play, running toss like has existed for a long ass time would have made so much more sense. The play call was ridiculous mostly because you could have achieved a similar effect in a way that was far less risky. But as I mentioned earlier, the Eagles have a history of ignoring certain types of run plays. Toss is one of them. Very rarely called.

That’s a good point. Put him in motion, make it a Hurts option to toss or run up the middle.

Who would have guessed that MIN, TB, NO, and SEA would be the remaining undefeated teams in the NFC?

Gonna be a strange year I think.

I said earlier that nobody has really looked great outside of New Orleans.

It always takes a good 4-6 weeks to find out who's for real and who's not.  Teams are still trying to figure things out, get in sync, etc.

It's ok buddy. Wipe his glaze off your face. It's clouding your vision of his sheet decision making

Look who’s talking about glaze…take your obsession with you when you come out that closet you hiding in. Ya hoass

What the hell is going on with Eagles post game live on CSN?  Don't even watch anymore since htey dumped D Gunn but they haven't even shown the Sirianni PC yet.

Given where he was drafted, Davis is approaching bust status.

Our run defense is about the worst I can remember. Everyone rushing regularly is averaging 6+ YPC

Need to give Moore a shot at HC, need to do it before the bye week.

Genuinely think the fastest way to a turnaround is a defensive HC and keeping Kellen Moore, assuming that the rest of the year goes well.

Hell, Steichen might be available given how things look in Indy.

That is beyond negligent and they fact he put it out there just goes to show how much of a smooth brain he truly is...

Lurie needs to nip this in the bud and just admit they Fed up keeping this guy

Really awkward coaching situation.  Things will *probably* get better this year.  They aren’t going anywhere, but they will make the playoffs…probably wont win a game, but could nab one.

They won’t play well enough for Kellen Moore to get HC offers.  Not seeing that from this offense.  So they could bring back the same coaching staff next year.  But no one is really going to respect Siriani heading into 2025.

But a new HC is complicated.  Lurie ain’t hiring a defensive HC.  So that means another year, another coach, another system for Hurts.  We’ll just be chasing our tails with his same issues again.  And if they did want a new HC with continuity for Hurts, that’s going to be new Lowie levels of meddling to bring in a HC who will be forced into Moore as the OC with this system.

Unless they want to name Kellen Moore the HC, I think they are stuck with this staff until they blow it up.

They should've fired sirianni and made Moore the head coach after last season. Idk how you keep a coach who lets that happen. It's gonna happen again this year and maybe then they figure out he's a Fing buffoon

Lurie fired Doug early, but kept this moron.

My goodness...

I kind of view it this way, to me the Eagles biggest problem going into this season was that I didn’t believe their defense was good. Way too many question marks about them. Smith, Davis, huff, Dean, white, Mitchell (he’s actually been fine), Dejuan were all question marks on how good they’d be. Way way way too many question marks.

and as for Fangio in his system, I think it’s a **** system. I think it was good 3-4 years ago. I think the league has figured it out. I said it before they hired him i much preferred going outside of the fangio system. It’s an outdated defense

Davis and Booker are the only players on the defensive line making any plays. Davis is not the problem.  The GM has sucks on the defensive side and they are obsesses in hiring a passive form of defense for their defensive coaches despite going for aggressive offensive coaches.

The players know Siri is an idiot, no amount of touching anecdotes can hide that.

They know he cost them this game.

Barkley has 16 drops since 2021, most in the NFL by an RB…

Or maybe people just overestimated Kellen Moore?!?!?!?!?

But no, people admitting they were wrong is too hard so they're more interested in making it seem like Sirianni is not actually a cheerleader after making fun of him for being an apparent cheerleader all offseason.

It's one or the other, you can't both make fun of him for being a cheerleader and doing nothing, and them when things don't go so well, say it's because he is actually the mastermind behind everything and has too much say. That's illogical and low IQ talk. Pick one, blog.

This. Even with a win tonight it would have been a fairy dust 2-0. Their big offseason edge signing has been a complete zero in Huff. He has one tackle through two games and that’s his only stat line. They are generating absolutely nothing in a pass rush. Above average to good QBs will pick this defense apart.

That is all he has ever done since he entered college.  The only time since he left high school that he had the same OC for two years in a row he went to the Super Bowl.  Yet he continues to be as good as he is.  If they could manage to get an actual offensive mind around him as HC then imagine the possibilities.
