Overreaction time much?

If Barkley makes a routine catch, game over.

If Wilson comes back to his QB, game over.

If Smith holds on to the TD pass, game over.

New coordinators on both sides of the ball means players are still learning systems while coordinators are learning players.

Huff is what he is, a pass rush specialist. Reddick is better against the run, but can't drop into coverage at all. Sweat is also a pass rush specialist playing full time.

Baun got exposed, he struggled getting off blocks, Dean is meh.

Maddox is good in coverage for the most part, but undersized, DeJean is still learning the ropes.

Best lineman was Booker.

I'll panic if they are struggling like this after the bye week.

They were in a tailspin for the second half of last year and have not shown to be a different team this year.  It’s more of the same, not an overreaction.

A so far unfounded overreaction would be to say they are a good team.

You can say the same thing about every loss over the past two years. It's a pattern.

His def had always been more bend-dont-break right?

they kept Holding them to fgs but the lack of creative pressure on an immobile qb is a real head scratcher

It’s bend but don’t break. However it broke it the most pivotal point in the game. Kind of what happened with the dolphins last year agains the titans where they couldn’t get off the field and make a stop when they needed too. Add on they finished 26th in the league in red zone. And against playoff offenses combined to be 21-33 (64%) in the red zone in those 7 games. That would be 29th right where the eagles were last year as a team.

Thanks Eagles for killing my sleep last night. Appreciate it.

It's more than just not being on the same page. They're not winning 1 on 1.

Sweat plays with his head up his arse. They got him on a screen where he could have hit Cousins and instead he just stopped because he didn't think Cousins still had the ball.  He's worthless.

I'm wondering if they need to just switch Carter to DE and play a heavier DL.

This is like a 5 alarm problem that will sink the entire season if they don't fix it

Needs to be researched wtf happened to Josh sweat. First 9 games last year he had 6.5 sacks and actually looked good early in the season. Since then he’s played 9 regular season games and had 0 sacks and fallen off the face of the planet to where he was prior.

Dotson played that much and was invisible. Mostly same for Goedert.

On D, WAY too much Maddox. He probably would have been at 98% if he didn’t get hurt.

This list is just one giant game of "where’s Waldo?” For the majority of guys on there.

So basically, if Covey was on the field, he was getting the ball. 23 snaps and 7 targets, for a guy who wasn't even producing. Why do they insist of feeding guys who don't do a damn thing. I'm Kenny Gainwell's biggest critic but he only played 7 snaps? What happened to all those 2 back sets we heard about? We constantly hear he's a weapon in the passing game and when WR1 is out he doesn't get a target? The personnel usage on offense is head scratching.

Tends to happen as a def gets tired, especially if you dont have a wrinkle ready bc the O will adjust eventually (for most teams)

our offf had nothing for a basic cover-2 and cover-4 scheme

For starters, switching to #19 all but guaranteed him to suck this year. As for the last half of last year who knows.

The Eagles defenders played 61 snaps yesterday, one of which was a kneel down. Don't want to hear that they were tired.

Too confusing for Hurts.

All of the coaching staff deserves some blame, but the one constant on offense has been Hurts. He handcuffs the offense because he can't play the position traditionally with consistency.

He is at his best when he has short, quick passes and runs downhill.

Teams now know if you take away his first read he will just pull it down. He is fairly easy to stop at this point

Him and the other edge rushers. You many how many sacks from any edge rusher in the last 6 games..... Zero. JJ would be turning in his grave 😞

Thomas Booker played 9 snaps and had 3 tackles, 2 TFL.

Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter played a combined 75 snaps. 3 tackles, no TFL.

Way to go Howie.

Eagles dump more resources and money into d-line than most other teams and this is what they have.

Holy crap that dline is a joke.

How was the defense tired? The eagles time of possession 36-24. Before that TD drive by Atlanta in the second half, the eagles had held the ball 19:17 to 9:04. More so there were 3 drives prior to that TD drive. The eagles held ball for 9:34. Falcons had a 1:09 drive. And then the eagles with a 3:54 drive. There’s no way the defense should’ve been that tired.

cousin’s looking like he’s playing on one leg went 13-16 in the second half of the game. They scored on 3 of 4 possessions in the second half barely having the ball for 10 mins

Still running a high school offense.  2- 9 in the last 11 games. Team is hot garbage with no forthcoming respite.

That Hurtz panic and rollout = dead play

Has that really been the problem, though? When I see him failing it's when he hasn't thrown the football after a couple seconds. When Hurts quickly decides to climb the pocket and find some room to scoot forward he's making his biggest plays.

Leaving that stadium last night, it was silent. Coaching, lack of pass rush, and lack of situational awareness lost that game for the Birds.

Saquon drops the ball. It happens. But should have never been a pass call in the first place. Do you then kick a FG or go for it on 4th which at worse gives the Falcons the ball deep in their own territory?

Not taking the 3 points early in the game was dumb. Sirianni is aggressive when he shouldn’t be and a **** when he shouldn’t be too.

Being completely unable to move a hobbled Cousins off his spot literally all Fing day was a travesty.

$1000+, hours spent trying to get out of the lot, and a sour taste in my mouth and sadness in my son’s eyes was well worth it.

Yep. What is the defense good at right now? The DL can’t win a pass rush. The edges can’t set the edge. The LBs were mostly MIA at filling gaps. People will say blitz more to create pressure, but the blitz got beat last night and we don’t tackle well enough behind the blitz to make it work with any kind of confidence.

Forget that. I want a game where the majority of the time I hate the team and wonder if it's abusive that I'm raising my daughter to be an Eagles fan only for us to pull out a win after a classic ill timed Kirk Cousins pick 6 in the 4th quarter.

So close <_<
