Nick Foles night reminded me of Reggie White night.  I'm not sure which one was worse.

I'm not even sure Mann is capable of dropping it there. Which is why you bring in Elliott. But every team in the NFL seems content to just kick it for a touchback these days.

He does it consistently in warm ups.  They're seems to be a technique to these similar to how punters kick with different spins at times.

Mann has a kick that almost seems to be spiraling vertically. It curves left hard, and also seems to knuckle. It looks very hard to field. And seems to always bounce short of the goal line and bounce sideways away from the goal line,  towards the sideline.  When the player doesn't field that ball,  they are left chasing an unpredictable spinning,  erratically bouncing ball on the ground.

It was really cool watching that technique. But in games, they seem to prefer to just kick deep in to the end zone.

The NFL missed the mark thinking putting touch backs on the 30 would disincentivise kicking touch backs.

They need to move the kickoff spot back 15 yards.

Maddox pointed at Mitchell as if he was out of position for the 2nd completion of the game winning drive. Players not knowing where to be in that moment is so frustrating.

That's going to happen as a rookie starting their second game. He's been good, though.

I get what you're saying and I'm not refuting that - I just think that whatever he does say/does during the week, etc is not taken seriously by anyone on the team. It's a mess.

I don’t think they tuned him out before the game last night. They actually played pretty inspired against the Packers and won that game. It might not have been pretty but they played hard for him unlike end of last year. And I don’t think players in that locker room hate sirianni as much as fans hate siriannj. I think hurts hates him. But I don’t think the majority of the team does.

I think the bigger question now is they’ve hit adversity just like last year. And last year they just rolled over and died. So to me if he can’t get through to them to fight and be tough, then it tells me they need a new voice because he’s definitely tuned out after this falcons disaster. His job going forward m was always going to come down to the Eagles response to adversity this year. That was always going to be the thing that kept Siriani as head coach or got him fired.

The Giants claimed Patrick Johnson, as the Eagles need pass rushing help. Another goof by Howie.

Problem is if the ball bounces out of bounds it goes to the 40. I'm guessing they don't think the risk is worth it.

Supposedly from what I heard they wanted touchbacks to originally be at the 35 but there was too much pushback so they settled on the 30. I have no idea why they don't just move the kicker back.

Fair enough. Time will tell and soon.

Giants get our second best pass rusher

Meanwhile we have way too many ILB taking up spots that someone like Patrick could have had.

How the hell did the Patriots get the x ray?

Another solution is this:

If the kicker kicks it out of the end zone your opponent starts at the 30.

if he kicks it into the end zone and the player takes a touchback it starts at the 20. The player can also return it.

If you make this simple rule change more guys are gonna return kicks and kickers aren’t gonna kick it out of the end zone. it solves the problem without having to move it back 15 yards

My excitement went from a solid 7-8/10 to a 3/10 for the season outlook. Major issues almost everywhere and at every level.

Going from Midnight to Six!

Locker room is hanging on by a thread. Saints game is one of the biggest must win games as of late.

Makes me wonder if that’s more geared to fangio or sirianni or just the eagles in general.

Probably just in general. I know he was arguing with some random Twitter account last week about how he worked too hard to just be a healthy scratch on gameday. Last night he was essentially a healthy scratch. Obviously he's not fully healthy but I'm sure he's not thrilled being active and doing nothing all game.

Could be Fangio too. It's not like he was beloved in Miami. If the defense keeps playing like crap and he keeps calling out players in PC's that's another situation that can get ugly quick.

Don’t get me wrong, I think this team is going to roll over and die. That’s what they did last year when adversity hit them. I don’t think this team has it in them to pick themselves off the ground and fix the issue. They are a very frontrunning team.

For instance, the Phillies played bad like really bad for two months. Like real bad. But they have enough guys in that locker room and leadership in that locker room that they could face that type of adversity and wouldn’t allow themselves to just roll over and die. held themselves accountable and fixed some of the issues. dont believe this eagles team has it in them. I’d love to be pleasantly surprised that they do.

No idea but they played nickel 88% of the defensive snaps last night. If that's the case, maybe it's wise to put Mitchell in the slot and Rodgers on the outside? Maddox played 90% of the snaps and that's with him missing plays because he got hurt. He shouldn't be on the field, especially if they are in nickel that much.

Slay Rodgers Mitchell should be the CB. Give DeJean safety reps to replace bum 1 or bum 2.

At this point I'm keeping Mitchell outside. He's basically the lone bright spot right now on D. Leave him there and let him continue to get better. Put DeJean in the slot and let him learn by fire.

Cousins was also 13-16 in the second half. Cousins looked like he was playing on one leg when he had to throw.

Never gonna quit Caden Sterns.

I actually think their best slot corner is CJGJ. They want him to play safety but he is much better as a slot corner than safety. Could have slay and Mitchell on the outside and CJGJ in the slot. Can move dejean to safety. Tbh i think he’s likely going to safety at some point in his career. When brown is back can rotate him and brown or use 3 safeties and have CJGJ down in the slot.

if we implode i hope we deal slay and go with ringo and Mitchell on the outside.
