Based on the Eagles recent record with LB's rather than encouraging Howie to extend him, this will encourage Howie to believe he's a great LB scout and let him walk in free agency like Edwards.

Funny thing is all evidence points to Howie signing Baun to be an EDGE depth player until Fangio changed his role.

Hurts has lots of weapons; just trust them to be able to make the big plays when needed.

He did this with AJ and Smith with throws into the end zone that were picked off, and now everyone is losing their minds over his turnovers.

He just needs to keep doing what he's doing. If the defense is halfway respectable, we will make a deep playoff run.

We have the second best offense in the nfl. That side of the ball is fine.

Hurts is capable of better, in terms of ball security.  There are two issues; the fumbling and the INT.  I think the interceptions will be easier to clean up; Moore needs to impress upon him how important it is for a QB to play a clean game.  Hurts has lots of weapons; just trust them to be able to make the big plays when needed.  The good news is Hurts has been quite accurate when throwing to his own guys.

Look at Sam Darnold.  He came into the NFL with a rep for turning the football over, and it followed him his first few years.  Small sample size this year, but the past couple of seasons he looks like a guy who's figuring out how important ball security is in a league where most games are decided by 6 points or less.

Agreed.  There are several QBs in Canton that threw the ball away in the red zone.

It's not just the points.  It's momentum, trust, vibes, etc.  Sirianni's persistence on ball security is warranted.

CJGJ is this team's verson of an NHL agitator.  It's much needed.

Speaking of, one of my favorite players who the Flyers let go of was just named captain of the Ducks. Mr. Radko Gudas. Good for him.

Wasn't he a first day signing?

Pretty aggressive for an intended backup.

That's all good but he's in year 5 with a stacked offense. Granted there's injuries currently

Yes as I said he has things to improve, there are frustrating decisions and mistakes. The offense should be be more efficient and scoring a lot more. Part of that is coaching, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the players, making the right calls in situations. Part of that is execution, not playing hero ball. I said in the offseason that while we have to expect some growing pains as they have a new coordinator and plays plus Hurts has lacked consistency in coaching, he's also been in the league long enough that he has to be able to adapt and rise to the challenge with his work ethic, film study and execution of the offense.

We'll see how things go on defense, but by comparison they played awful and within 1 week Fangio adjusted and they played a great game. The offensive coaches and Hurts need to make the same leap. The O line - even with the injuries - has been playing great. I criticized them last year because at times they were breaking down. They've been excellent this season. Hurts has plenty of time. The skill players are great. So the offense needs to be executing a lot better. I feel like if the problems are still there after the bye, it's a major problem. I can be a little more patient if there's improvement in the next couple games.

That's a Howie special. We've signed so many day 1 FA LB's that end up getting cut I can't even remember them all.

Corey Nelson. LJ Fort. Jatavis Brown. etc etc

Yes, we are moving the ball effectively.

We are second in yards, but only 11th in points.

Points win games.

I don't care about whether it was a "legal" hit or not - it was a scumbag move.  Devonta weighs about 180 soaking wet, and had already been pushed back 5 yards by two defenders.  There was absolutely no reason for him to throw that hit there - says a lot about him as a person.

180? He's 165 soaking wet. He mentioned Covey weighed more than him and he's 170.

Did people just not watch last season? Stop bringing up these rankings, they don't mean ish. That 2nd best offense got shut out for 3 quarters yesterday.

I can't believe someone watched that game yesterday and thinks the offense is fine.

So, possibly playing TB without WR1, WR2 or WR3. Time for Dotson to earn it.

I've come around a lot on yesterdays game. I think just watching it live was so frustrating on several different levels that it took some time to digest. It was a gutsy win that they had to fight for in a hostile stadium. It was encouraging see the team, specifically the defense, rebound after an ugly performance last Monday and not roll over and quit. I'm not sure what is to come for the rest of the season and I don't think the way they are currently playing is sustainable to make a deep playoff run but they have time to get better.

Nick, though, I have never been more out on. His decision making is now beyond ridiculous and being highlighted as it's the only thing he does during the games. They won a game despite him and lost another because of him. I don't see him being a long term fixture here.

What’s Covey’s injury? Hopefully it’s Dotson, Campbell and Covey.

He broke some bone in his shoulder. He'll be out 6 weeks.

Speaking of hostile stadiums...

The number of and volume from Eagles' fans was amazing.  We travel so well.  Really made the win feel even better.

You don't make a deep playoff run by turning the ball over. Something qb1 has been great at the last 11 games

I've always been a fan of Steen. I still think he's got a future as a starter. Becton is fragile
