This may be the last redeeming quality.  There's almost nothing left to like.  But this is what I like about Sirianni. Have seen it a bunch of times now at away games. Never saw it from another coach.

Two turnovers, missed fg, two failures on 4th down, and a blocked punt.  Amazing that we won that game.

I wanted him to take the 3 as well.

Not sure I agree that it cost them the Atlanta game.  Barkley dropping the 1st down pass cost them the game.   The defense letting Atlanta go 70 in a minute cost them the game.  Hurts throwing a bad pick when all they need is a FG cost them the game.

They had 3 consecutive opportunities to win that Falcons game and blew each one.

Correct.  But it's the butterfly effect.  Leaving points on the field, especially that early bites teams very often.  Besides, 3 more points on the board and the lead goes to 9 before that possession if everything else remains the same.  They don't lose with a 9 point lead there... and likely don't even throw that pass, which keeps the clock moving on the 3rd down.

There were other opportunities to win that game, but giving away points is a losing strategy.

It would go a long way if he'd stick to thanking fans and not trying to troll them.  One is a good look that is unique. The other is a bad look that is equally unique.

Yup.  Winning despite it all because this team has that much talent.  I don't like Jimmy Johnson. But he said post game... this isn't sustainable, and he's right.  Very much like 2023 so far.  They need to get it together or it will likely end the same way.

Washington's going to be a problem.

And we might have just seen the last of Doug Pederson in Jacksonville.  Good Lord what a beating.

Pederson's gonna lose another job because of his loyalty to Press Taylor...unbelievable

I feel that way about him and Carter.  Now we need to find the mature older brother type like a Jenkins/Slay/Graham always was to keep them under control lol

I know someone else already posted this, but something occurred to me this AM

So basically, Dak just acknowledged Cowboys fans are bandwagon frontrunners

(sorry Joe Ball, not you.  That's more directed at the ahole cowboys fans around here that live to antagonize)

We went through this every season with Kyler/Kliff in Arizona. You can't play the way Washington/Daniels are playing for 17 games.

I have to think that Nick knows better in most of these situations. It seems like he's pressing because he knows his job is on the line and every move is being scrutinized and criticized....so, in effect, he's actually playing "hero ball" in these moments.

It's what happens to a lot of players / coaches in Philly once the fan base starts to turn on you. Just comes with the territory

So, hopefully he can settle himself down and quit trying to force it.

As far as comparisons to 2023....the one difference that gives me some hope is that last year we got every break, dropped ball, etc which is what lead to the lucky wins.

So far, I don't think that's been the case, yet they've still managed to win a couple of close games (against good teams). And really should have (I know) won the ATL game.

We'll see how all this looks from October forward, but yes, if Hurts doesn't stop turning the ball over none of it will ultimately matter.

Careful, you might upset some folks. Doesn't matter that it's been a trend for 20+ games and we have a losing record over our last several. We just won, damn it! Keep the main thing the main thing!

Here's the reality that Eagle homers aren't going to admit:

If it was Dak Prescott who led the league in turnovers over the last 20+ games and was the QB behind the biggest collapse in NFL history, would they still defend him?

We all know the answer.

Sure they can.  Hurts did it and got us to a SB.

Carter seemed to have beef with Mathieu tbh

Who is a renowned cheap shot artist.

The media slurping for Jayden Daniels will be at level 12 this week....I've already seen comparisons to CJ Stroud lol.

Teams will figure them out soon enough. He is no CJ.

It’s RG3 all over again.

3 defenders colliding on 3rd and 16 on the last offensive drive of the game needing to score a TD isn't a break?    Big question... why play man in that situation?  Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  Granted, Dotson ran a great route and did a great job running non-contact interference for Goedert, but that was a silly defense to play in that situation, IMHO.   Maybe if you are going to play man under, drop with a 2 deep shell over the top to eliminate THAT big of a play.  But that defense just didn't make sense for that moment from my perspective.

As for Sirianni playing 'hero ball'.  I think there's something to that.  But, as I said, there's a fine line between aggression and recklessness.  He's gone overboard with it in situations that don't really warrant it (not ALL the situations, but multiple).  We have a weapon in Elliott... and frankly, when you are the better team, you don't chase points in the first quarter.  You take the points that are there to be taken and look to improve on it on the next drive.  Desperate teams go for it in the situations that Sirianni has been taking.  And while his job may be in desperation mode, this team isn't.   And ironically if he just leaned on the talent on the team more and less on hyper aggression, this team would be 3-0, I have no doubt.  And at 3-0 with two 'comfortable' but not stellar wins the last two weeks, no one would be so irate with him.

The Kliff offense was very different than the Steichen offense. There's a reason why Arizona would have a top 10 offense in the first two months of the season with Kyler, then become bottom of the pack in November/December.

We play Washington in the back half. We'll be fine
