You really gotta act like you won the World Series because you won a division title. Hate it. Stupid.

It’s a long season and their first division title in over 10 years. I get they’ve fallen short the past few years, but let them enjoy it. It’s okay to celebrate accomplishments even if it’s not the ultimate goal.

Was White promised a starting job? If not, then suck it up. Wtf man this is football, you aren't owed a starting job. Suck it up.

He doesn't play ST so right now he's taking up a spot in case Dean gets hurt. Which is ok I guess if they even view him as primary backup.

IMO, the bigger problem is not giving more RB carries to our backup RBs. Our backup RBs need to get carries to keep the run game going and keep Saquon fresh. Less zone-reads, more straight-ahead runs with Shipley. Gainwell wasn't great on Sunday.

I'll take less zone-reads and more straight ahead runs with anyone.  But, I am very disappointed in our backup RB group as a whole.  Gainwell is a super JAG.  And Shipley seems like a guy they prefer to use as a gadget guy rather than a straight RB.   It would have been really nice to add a legit #2 RB to this roster.  I don't know that there's anyone available now that would help though.

As for the Phillies celebrating you have to consider your mental state if you are upset that people are having fun and celebrating in a way that doesn't hurt you or anyone else.  Mind you I think the song is lame and I think it's super lame to put on goggles and spray alcohol. But to each their own let them have fun

Also to throw this out there... it is criminal misuse of Saquon Barkley, when we are down both starting WRs that after he saved the team's bacon with a 65 yard TD, that he got only 1 touch on the next drive.  Fortunately they wised up when it came to the winning TD and 2 point conversion... and used their most dangerous weapon.

But, how different is the game if they actually went to him on the drive with the missed FG?

I am fine with them not running all of the time.  My complaint was them not running the ball on 3rd down when they had a lighter box. I also want them to stop it with the RPOs.  I don't think they are occupying a blocker with the option.

I don’t think we are misusing Barkley.  He’s the best weapon and best player on the team.  If we continue to use him at this rate, he won’t be nearly as effective in the playoffs (or next year).  Every single play that isn’t a success will have people arguing that the ball should have gone to Barkley.  But there needs to be restraint.  Even his current usage isn’t sustainable.

I think Shipley showed potential as a runner.  He's been in on 2 back sets.  I think he would be a reasonable option.

In normal circumstances, I agree.   Without Brown, Smith and even Covey... and nursing a lead?   Running was a better option, IMO.

As for the RPO... I can't remember the last positive play that's come off of it.   Just a bad option for this team right now.

I'd love to see them try him.

They are occupying the unblocked end.  It's just that Hurts no longer beats the unblocked player to the edge.  The play below was right after Goedert's first long reception in the first quarter.

Okay, but he isn't even being allowed to dress to play as a backup.

My concern is they play tonight and are .5 games behind the Dodgers.  Don't want to lose a game vs a not so great team because you are hungover

Context is king.   Down top two WRs.   Down the right side of your OL.   Nursing a lead.   You survive and advance.  The bye is upcoming, Brown and Smith should be back and hopefully by then Hurts will have his head screwed on right with the new offense and stop being a turnover machine.  Until then, you do what you have to do.

As for Barkley being less effective later in the year or next year... he's on a two year deal and I have looked at his usage and others built like him in the past.   He should be fine for this year and next.   After that, you roll the dice... and hope you got the ultimate prize along the way.

AKA, he's slow.

Backup LBs play ST.   If he can't, then he can't dress.   It's as simple as that.

Not sure if this was already posted.  Pretty incredible.

That is a legit concern.

Eagles have Tom Brady this week

He doesn't play special teams, so of course he isn't. He signed with the Eagles. He's a member of the team. His role is to do whatever they ask of him.

We need to nip this "If a team isn't gonna play me or use me the way I want to be used, they need to let me go, so I can go to a team of my choosing" attitude in the bud that is starting to creep into pro sports. This isn't how sports works. You choose to sign with a team, you're their player for the remainder of the contract terms. If a player doesn't like it, the proper response isn't "Ok, then I want to go to a new team now" it's "I'll do everything I can to earn that job I desire in practices and if I can't then I be a good soldier and stand ready until if/when my name is called upon."

Eagles should have Nick Foles come back and serve as honorary captain again.   Let's see if Tom snubs him again.

White could be this years Derek Barnett.  Not used, waived then goes on to really help the Texans last year and this year.  Nobody knows if White is done as he didn't play in preseason.  I have a feeling he can contribute if allowed.

I know the near term injuries are concerning, but this is a really good roster.

The OL is solid.  Jurgens looks to be a top-10ish center in the NFL.  Becton looks comfortable at RG.  We have to solid backups in Steen and Johnson.  We have four legitimate weapons in Brown, Smith, Barkley, and Goedert.  And even though he is imperfect, Hurts is still a reason why we win games.

Hopefully the defense we saw on Sunday is what we'll see going forward.  Carter will be All-Pro by the end of the season.  The edge guys look like they have a pulse.  Baun is a real LB.  The biggest part of this is seeing Mitchell already playing at a high level.  Nailing a first-round CB pick is huge.  And we still haven't seen what DeJean can contribute.

If Sirianni can figure out how to stay out of the way, the combination of Moore, Fangio, and talent should gets us very far.

He’ll be needed. Baun plays such a violent game and Dean has a history now of getting dinged.

Your last sentence is also as I see it.

Damn.
