Barnett looked like trash here too. Then left and produced with Houston. Something about the Eagles having issues incorporating guys into the system and getting them to produce.

He's getting match ups against TEs that he's not winning. Reddick would eat those dudes for lunch. Not sure what else the team can do for the guy. He has absolutely no pass rush moves gets bullied by the run game, and he lives on the ground

Hurts is, has been and will continue to be a problem.

Nick and Fangio are as well...and many aren't ready to admit this yet, but Howie is as well.

Howie is a problem because he doesn’t know how to consistently build a defense. Since he’s come back in 2016 hisdefenses are good one year. Regress the next year then bad again or just falls off a cliff the next year. We could keep making the excuse that the NFL is cyclical, but I’ve seen other teams actually build a defense that is competent for multiple years and keeps improving. The eagles are great for a year then it’s gone in a year or two.

I said this after week two. You are essentially getting what Sean Desai gave you through four weeks last year. He had a good game and made second half adjustments. And just some awful performances. You’re paying a ton of money and you’re getting basically what Sean Desai was giving you before you fired him. At some point in time it’s the scheme is not very good and you have a personnel problem. I’m tired of Fango needs better personnel. So he has to have the the perfect collection of players for his system to work? Thats bs. Never going to have a perfect roster and it’s his Fing job to get more out of guys than what Desai and Patricia got. If he can’t get more out of them the system/scheme needs to be scrapped and we need an overhaul on personnel

Yes I’ve seen coordinators get more out of far less than what this defense has. Jim Johnson did it all the time. And I thought Fangio was supposed to have say in the personnel. So did he want Huff or didn’t he? If he did, why can’t he get him to produce and the Jets could? If not, why did they sign him? This organization oozes dysfunction right now. All going back to keeping Sirianni after his last season ended and trying to piece it together featuring coordinators to fix it.

I don't think QB1 last the season. He'll injure his knee or someone will clean his clock. Dude got spanked today. Browns will do more of the same in 2 weeks. Garrett will get a couple sacks

This quote somehow keeps getting worse

Were you surprised that there would be struggles today without two star receivers, a HOF tackle, and guys going down puking on the sidelines?

i hopeso. they need to draft his replacement

Have to get Siri out of the way first. Then draft a QB in the 2025 draft, Hurts has this and the beginning of next year to get it right before putting the rookie in.

Don't see any which way Howie is shown the door.

He still had playmakers out there. He held on to the ball way too long. QB's make those around them better. QB1 doesn't do that. He's in year 5. Excuses are out the window

Imagine being the guy who thinks the offense is the problem.

I just learned that Brian Johnson is somehow doing a good job in WAS.

What the f...

If Hurts went 10 million passes in training camp without an int, it means the coaches are obviously doing a poor job of simulating live situations in camp…because Hurts is clearly a turnover machine.

He doesn't have a moron for a HC who keeps interfering.

This team is just too easy to game plan against. Fangio is a known quantity and OCs know how to beat him. No big plays, okay, we will win 6 yds at a time. Hurts struggles with reads and progressions. Okay, confuse him. HC is an arrogant nitwit. Okay, let him be. And on and on.

Defense is a problem. Vic and his dumb scheme is a problem. Defense is also young. There will be struggles. Offense is where a ton of money is tied up at. QB1 is a big problem. He's a turnover machine and has continued to regress

The thing with Fangio is he is the mastermind and the guru of this defense. He was brought in and they fired Desai because he couldn’t get more out of players and the defense wasn’t good. So now you have the genius behind it and  still can’t get any more out of his players than the guys you had last year. So it tells me his defense is outdated. It’ll work against poor QBs and some mediocre QBs. It was good for a couple years and then it got figured out and now the league knows it. I posted some of the stats from last year with that scheme. There was not one team in the top 10 defensively using that scheme. The highest team was the Dolphins at 15. and their biggest issue was when they faced better offenses outside of like dak and Dallas they weren’t good.

maybe the defense gets better over the course of the year with him, but through four games it is eerily similar to what you got from Desai and guys aren’t playing any better with his coaching. You aren’t paying him all the money to make excuses for him (not you eagles fans and people on here) that personnel isn’t good enough. Yes that’s true but he hasn’t exactly done much of coaching guys up and I’d argue outside of Reddick being gone their personnel is better in the secondary and somehow at linebacker

It's a shame that we have a coach with a fantastic old school mentality that I think a lot of us love but his scheme is pure trash. Absolute worst defensive scheme in the NFL. It didn't work with all of his disciples and it's not working with the architect. The problem is, it's the scheme the organization wants.

This team needs to be scrapped from top to bottom. I didn't see one creative play on offense. You're down your top two weapons at WR and your top pass blocking RT and you come out pass heavy? You ignore your top paid RB? This is the game that you feed him. It's hot, it's muggy. Let the OL just pound on the DL and LB and exhaust them. Make them hate trying to tackle Saquon. NOPE. Let's pass the effing ball when the QB has no weapons and is sailing the ball 10 yards over the WR heads.

On defense, you've got 2 fantastic press corners and a QB with a quick trigger. Let's play them off the ball. BRILLIANT!!!

From a player standpoint. Jalen Carter, you want to be the man? Be the man every damn week. Not once every 5 games.

Eagles are the only team in the NFL to not score a single point in the first Quarter through 4 games this season.
