Turns out Hurts playing so well in camp had more to do with him playing against a Fangio Eagles D that makes all qbs look like Dan Montana Elway...😒

I think the issue there is that they aren't running good camps.  We've learned at this point that Hurts is a turnover machine.  If the buzz from camp is that Hurts isn't letting a ball hit the ground and hasn't tossed a single INT (defenders are making plays on his passes multiple, multiple times per game)....then the coaches are obviously doing a horrible job simulating game situations if he was allowed to look that good in camp.

I get that the defense isn't good, but the 1's on offense are often going up against a second team defense anyway in camp.  I'm OK with little to no contact, but they are just doing a bad job of simulating this.

If someone...no, everyone in the media and coaching staff...could watch Hurts in camp and talk about how he's protecting the ball incredibly well...then they are doing something wrong in camp.

Every game you see offensive lines confused over who to block.

Would be nice to experience that once on defense.

I give Trotter props for that play.  He didn't know if it had or hadn't been touched and the ball was moving backwards after having landed near the returner.  So, he made sure, because earlier in the game, they lost a possession on a similar play.   Trotter made a nice play there in my book.

Yeah i don’t blame him on that. Especially what happened earlier in the game.

Frankly rather see trotter out there than Dean. Dean isn’t good. He is what he is. Let trotter learn and if he sucks at least we know going into next year. And if he improves week to week then we might have a long term linebacker

The first I heard Carters name today was when they said he had to leave the game. Not a good sign for the prospective DPOY.

He played like the DPOY for 1 week.  3 weeks of nothing much.  This is the NFL.  You need to do it week in and week out.  Right now, he's got all the talent in the world, but he's not got the discipline needed to actually make the most of it.   Put it this way, he's no Aaron Donald.

Love watching teams like the ravens that have imaginative blitzes that confuse O lines and keep em off balnce.

We used to have a DC like that and the eagles had a ton of success, yet despite all that success under that philosophy decided to go entirely the other direction and play soft bend but dont break D🤷‍♂️

Seemed like a lot of guys were out there making business decisions when it came to tackling, just complete lack of effort and willingness to put their bodies on the line…didn’t want to mess up their bye week plans by possibly being hurt

I didn't think they were even close enough to be able to make a decision on a lot of plays.  Just whiffing.

BG was completely unblocked for his sack.

He has 8 catches today with the other receivers in. If he had started today would he have had 8 receptions today or did he at anytime last year? The Offence is too catered around WR1 and WR2 and if they're not around QB 1 is a deer in the headlights.

LMAO, and he had 0 catches last week. He's a FN JAG.

I will say the NFL has a bit more parity and sloppiness than usual this year.

And he was disciplined on the play.   They tried to get him to chase the ball carrier down the line and run a bootleg against him.   He stayed home, did his job and was rewarded for it.  It was the best play (maybe the ONLY play) the defense made in the game.

Loved Slay but he is washed

giving him an extension was only slightly less dumb than Bradberry

I'm still appalled Barkley only got 11 touches this game. 3 of which were 3 straight goal line carries. Absolutely criminal.

What did you guys expect the team would be after 4 games. If you told me we would be 2-2 with AJ Brown missing 2 games, Smitty missing a game, Lane missing a game and a half, I think you would be happy with 2-2.

Before the season started you would think Atlanta would be a win in the home opener on Monday night. Then you have GB in Brazil, and 2 road games against NO and TB. You would hope to get 2 out of those 3 but they could go either way. 2-2 is about where they should be.

My point is why don't any of our JAGS get 8 catches when they are expected to. 🙂

No doubt. He was done when Howie gave him the extension

Chiefs are 4-0 and they don’t look like some juggernaut. There’s been a lot of bad sloppy football this year even from teams that are 3-1 and 4-0. Like i don’t think Houston has looked great at all this year. Yet 3-1

Ben VanSumeran played offense today? In what context? Fullback? TE?

It was a bootleg that he read correctly. There was no disguise there.

Team has been annoying so far, but I'm not panicking yet. NFC has no dominate team right now.

Jalen Hurts is a running QB who’s not fast enough to out run these new era DEs and LBs.

Watching Lamar Jackson have no trouble pull away from defenders shows how slow Hurts is. He more powerful than speed and his style of playing isn’t gonna work in this NFL

Seems he might have been perfect for Detroit for those years.   Just focused on making plays for himself and making a name for himself, and not have to worry about the end result of the game.  They were a playoff team twice while he was there.  7 wins, then 11, 7, 9, 9, 6 and 3 wins during his time there.   It was all about his personal stats and not about the team.  And that's what we are hearing about now on Twitter.  All about his past accomplishments.  Personally, I couldn't care less about that.   Be a leader and learn how to be a teammate, not a me guy.

I expected them to be competent, not an embarrassment.

This feels exactly like last year though. You can't honestly feel good about this team, record aside.

I saw that on the game recap.  I think he lined up at TE, or H-back.
