More concerning that Maddox is still on the this roster. he hasn’t been good in like 2 years. Just move the F on. They shouldn’t have brought him back in the first place.

He will be hurt soon enough. It’s as inevitable as Thanos.

I keep thinking how dumb it is for Rodgers to defend himself with the "I didn’t know” excuse but then remembered why he was suspended for a full year to begin with.

Watch this be the one year he bucks the trend

Bet he knows the rule now.

He still had playmakers out there. He held on to the ball way too long. QB's make those around them better. QB1 doesn't do that. He's in year 5. Excuses are out the window

So you were surprised that there were struggles.

His issues are consistent regardless of who’s out there. I obviously didn’t expect him to throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs today and knew it would be tough without AJ and DeVonta. But it’s the same problems he’s had for a while now.

At some point the secondary needs to be Slay and Mitchell outside, Blankenship and Brown at safety, and CJGJ at nickel.  Train Sydney Brown to be the free safety and cover ground.  CJGJ has shown he’s pretty much clueless in the deep middle.

Maddox was cut as he was supposed to be, then sadly brought back for $3.49.  There’s no way he should be on the field at the expense of developing Brown and DeJean,

And you expected his problems to improve with two all world receivers out and no HOF tackle with random guys going out from the heat throughout the day? Maybe my expectations for this game were lower than most. It had L all over it after that Saints game for me.

There was no way the Eagles were going to put up 20 points today.  Hurts could have built up some confidence today; going up against a defense that has owned him through his career and without his two top targets.  It would have been a perfect time to build some chemistry with Dotson or Parris Campbell.  No one should expect these guys to put up 100+ yards, but keep everyone involved.

What did Hurts have in the first half, 30 yards passing?  He’s just not capable of elevating a team.  Without a stacked offense he’s a JAG.  The national media is beginning to recognize it; the Philly media is still babysitting him because they have the head coach to scapegoat.  Once the head coach is fired, then at some point the NFL is a meritocracy.  Folks will see that Hurts holds the team back.

I expect him to not look like he’s never played the position before if he loses a guy or two. I’m tired of him needing everything to be perfect around him in order for him to succeed. A top five offensive line, two all-pro receivers, a top tier running back, a good tight end, etc. He doesn’t elevate anyone around him but instead relies on AJ and DeVonta to make him better which they would do for 31 other quarterbacks.

He had a chance to show that he can elevate others today regardless of if they won or lost and he didn’t do that. Saquon bailed him out again with the biggest play of the game and then he returns the favor in fumbling when they were trying to make it a 7 point game.

Yup. $50m for a dude who doesn't elevate anyone. Everyone loves to ish on wentz but he did way more with way less in 2020. When does hurts get the same treatment?

One thing I can't figure out about this team, and not just this year but you can put money on it that when they face a team that is the worst at certain things, the Eagles are going to make them look like the best.

TB- can't protect Mayfield at all, Eagles despite 2 sacks, can't generate pressure.

TB- can't sack the QB, Eagles give up  6 sacks.

Any team attempts 50+ FG, Eagles exist and it's automatic.

Team can't stop the run, Eagles go pass heavy.

Team can't run, Eagles give up 10 ypc.

It's every. single. time.

Its because the coaches suck and they can't plan

I will smile a little smile when Tampa inevitably is eliminated in the playoffs.

Washington’s offense is good. Washington’s defense got lit up by bengals and Tampa bay. Nik Daniel jones and Kyler Murray have looked poor. Frankly Murray is overrated.

Yeah he is I agree. He started the year alright but yeah he’s overrated for sure. Washington defense may not be good but as you say their offense is so they’ll put up a lot of points on us.

Seeing as majority of teams in the league go 3 and 4 wide majority of the time that could be a problem...

It is going to be a problem. A really big one. This defense is flat out bad.

Wentz didn't look the same after the ACL and the clown's cheap shot giving him a brain injury against Seattle finished him off mentally. Hurts just sucks.

and yet wentz is probably gonna win another ring this season. So thats 2, to hurts 0.

Bryce Huff played 33 of the quietest snaps ever.

Not sure if it was here already...

Still can’t get over Slay being a 33 year old man running to Twitter 30 minutes after a loss to post his career stats. Social media has broken so many peoples’ brains. Guy is a child who has no business being a captain on this team.

Actually he seems to be the perfect example of why this team is the way it is.  Perfect choice for a captain of THIS team.

My biggest issue with the team right now is the coaches seeing an obvious game plan write itself and saying "no thanks"

The defensive game plan against Atlanta couldn't have been more obvious, but they gift wrapped that game for Cousins by playing soft and barely touching him.

Yesterday, half your offense is out, it's hot outside so you want to hold possession.  So run the f'ing ball.  Nope, let's have Hurts throw passes against an aggressive blitz scheme.

2/4 games have been lost by the coaching staff IMO.

With Hurts, it's almost like they want to avoid the turnover topic at all costs so that it doesn't become a mental hurdle for him.  I think Sirianni is lost and too inexperienced to have the balls to do what needs to be done, and we have poor veteran leadership so it's just the inmates running the prison

They ran the ball with Saquon 10 times.  :nonono:

This team chose not to use their best weapon.
