This loss was on the D who let the game get out of hand.  They were pathetic.

Having said that, Hurts/Moore didn't save the team and win the game.  I hope down the road that Moore understands what he is working with and comes in with a much better game plan should he face this type of scenario again.  Hurts is just fine with all the pieces around him but he isn't going to put 30 up using the normal approach with no wideouts.

Starting the game with three 3 and outs, oof - that’s almost as bad. Some of the worst football I’ve seen this team play (and we’ve seen a lot of bad recently).

I agree the O sucked as well but coming into the game we knew they'd be challenged.  We needed the D to keep us in the game and give us time to work into it and win in the latter part of the affair.  Getting down 24-0 without Lane/Smith/Brown was game over.

Honestly,  complete team loss that I put mostly on the coaches.  Poor defensive game plan, poor offensive game plan considering injuries, and a team that looked like it hadn't practiced all week.

However,  the tackling was so poor, and that is on the players.  To me, Dean and Maddox were the worst of the bunch, just completely missing,  not wrapping up, etc.

Of equal concern is what is happening with Huff and White.  The GM and the Coaches are not on the same page and it is impacting the locker room.

During the game, I hated the play call. I wanted them to open up the game running the ball down their throats.

Watching it again, the play was there. Barkley is WIDE OPEN. What the hell is this throw? Saquon is a good 7 yards behind every defender and Hurts throws the ball 10 yards out of bounds. All he has to do is throw the ball towards the middle of the field and Saquon walks to the end zone.

That sounds like my commentary during the game 😆😆

A horrible throw

This offense is embarrassing with 2 straight games of struggling to put up points. Even on the drives they do score, it looks way more difficult than it needs to be. The redzone offense is just terrible. They don't seem to have any plan and rely on the tush push to move the ball in short yardage situations. Can they just line up and smash the other team in the mouth?

Again, even when AJ and DeVonta come back, this offense should run through Barkley. Hurts is way too much of a liability in turning the ball over either fumbling or throwing picks.

Personally I would do the brotherly shove the whole way down the field

Just to zero in on the HC failures, here's a list of guys who have had absolutely no accountability:

Hurts--could have easily been benched at least twice this season.  Not even a critical word in a press conference.  But he's the QB so, ok, you eat the ish sandwich and move on.

Calcaterra--maybe one day he'll block someone.  Until then, here's 27 snaps to figure it out!

Huff--gives you absolutely nothing, still seeing significant snaps. More than Graham yesterday.

Dean--Im a pro-Dean guy but he's been way too inconsistent and now they've destroyed the dynamic with White who is a lost cause at this point.  We have no options now.

Maddox--not worth typing, we all knew what was coming.

Davis/Carter- if they don't each have an impact play by Halftime, it needs to be a Booker/Milton/Ojomo show and Davis/Carter can be backups.

This doesnt even mention the idiotic coaching where Barkley and the run game disappear and Vic is calling a Group Of 5 college defense.  But we know Nick doesn't have the ability or the know-how to address that.  My conspiracy theory is that Moore is coordinating Nicks offense.

I almost wish the NFL had gone ahead and banned the tush push. You're right, they rely on it too much. They did it last year and it seems they are doing it again. Rather than call plays to get first downs or I don't know, score a touchdown, it seems they call plays to get in position to call the stupid sneak. They just waste downs trying to get in to 4th and short. There's zero creativity in trying to get the ball down the field or in the end zone.

Terrific on a designed rollout he had 2 options on a 4th down. Drop back in the pocket and go thru 3-4 reads… consistently.

Go YouTube Inside the Birds w/Greg Cosell and post the 4th down play vs Atlanta and tell me your honest thoughts.

That throw again highlights that Hurts is NOT good throwing on the run.

The treatment in the media to Hurts is interesting to me. McNabb was grilled back in the day. Same with Wentz. Yet Hurts seems untouchable when everyone can see he’s been on a downward trajectory for a little less than a year now. I’m sure it will come after they get their pound of flesh when Nick is fired, but it’s still weird to me. Jalen shouldn’t be above the criticism.

Here's the sequence that sums up this team for me.

It's 24-0 in the 2nd quarter. The Eagles can't stop the Bucs and can't move the ball. They get the ball back with 7:18 to go in the half and put together a drive to score and make it 24-7. Bucs get the ball after the 2:00 minute warning and the Eagles FINALLY cause a 3 and out, they get the ball back at their 20 yard line with 1:14 on the clock.

1:14 with timeouts to use is an eternity in the NFL. You've been down 24 for almost the entire 1st half and you have a chance to cut the lead to 10. There's no reason to just say F it but these are the plays they call. A 13 second drive. 13 MF seconds. That's when I knew this game was over. This team is an absolute mess. The coaching, the QB, the defense. All of it.

1-10-PHI 20 (1:14) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass incomplete short right to J.Wilson.

2-10-PHI 20 (1:10) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass incomplete short right to K.Gainwell.

3-10-PHI 20 (1:07) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass short left to P.Campbell to PHI 25 for 5 yards (L.David, J.Dean). Timeout #2 by TB at 01:01.

4-5-PHI 25 (1:01) B.Mann punts 47 yards to TB 28, Center-R.Lovato, out of bounds.

The Tush Push IS the plan.   And I've been complaining about it for years now.

Everything you said here is obvious, and why people are so frustrated by this team.  They make it harder than it needs to be.

Sadly, the word "obvious" does not apply to this coaching staff.

Can we please just stop the denial and fing fire Sirianni. It’s obvious since last season he has no message anyone wants to hear.

How many fumbles will we have to recover?

Hard to win it when your Qb leads the league in turnovers since the start of last year. And our defense has 2 takeaways through 4 games

hurts fumbling is an issue. Here’s his fumbles since 2021

2021: 9

2022: 9

2023: 9

2024 (4games): 5 (lost 3 of them)

He is on pace to have 21 fumbles this year and 16 ints

That's great! Only 4 more fumbles the rest of the season.

I'll go back to the same point.

We have a top 3 RB, top 5 WR, another top 15 WR, top 10 TE, top 5 OL. Even if a few of these are hurt, hell even if Hurts sucks (at this point, we have to consider it), this should STILL be a great offense.

Fire Sirianni. Today.

At some point the offense needs continuity. We're going through OCs like mad. Hurts has had what 3 so far. Siri is the constant though :-/

No way they do that in-season.  We're screwed.

The shame is that we could have had Belichick or Vrabel, guys who would have been leaders of men. Say what you want about Belichick but this team would be set up perfectly for him, he can focus on defense and we have a star studded offense to make it easier

Keep scapegoating, D.P.  Eventually the realization will come that the QB has not put the work into learning Moore's scheme.
