Todd Bowles literally said Hurts cant read defenses.  Did anything that happened yesterday make you believe he has changed that opinion, or that the opinion isn't correct?

You are seeing it right now.  This is the offense without Nick.

Except for the times Nick says he calls the plays, and Nick makes the decisions on 4th down which have cost them games. So it's hard to know if Moore is really allowed to run the offense or not.

Sorry if posted, but holy crap this is the dumbest Eagles team I've seen and that's a high bar to clear.

Do you trust Jeff Lurie picking the right next head coach?

It's everyone's fault and they need to get it together. I'm not even close to being a Howie fan but he stacked the offense and it'd be criminal not to get the best out of this offense

Defense is another story entirely

A fan poll on the EMB.

Tell him Moore is the OC and tell him he’s not making final decisions on free agency and draft.

We have good offensive players and talent in the secondary finally, if this was a rebuild I wouldn’t want him. Brown, Smith, Goedert, Barkley and a good Oline and we aren’t serious contenders? … F’ing A man.

I think there's a good chance they hire him.  They wanted to get away from Reid's coaching tree after Doug.  My guess is that they may want to go with an older coach after Sirianni's over emotional approach.  Belichick fits that profile.  The key will be whether Lurie thinks he will work with Howie.  He will also have to keep the coaches Howie/Lurie want to keep.

No way they do that in-season.  We're screwed.

The shame is that we could have had Belichick or Vrabel, guys who would have been leaders of men. Say what you want about Belichick but this team would be set up perfectly for him, he can focus on defense and we have a star studded offense to make it easier

Was pounding the table to fire Siri last year, and that hasn't changed. Vrabel with Moore would have been an intriguing combo.

OK, let's try to find a positive. Give him more snaps.

ABSOLUTELY deserves snaps over Huff.

I don't fully believe that.

You're not going to get a viable had coach while forcing an offensive coordinator on him.  A head coaching change next season will bring an entirely new staff, IMO.

"perfect".  Nah.  It was really really good, but it would have been an amazing catch.  It was in the finger tips of Goedert only... a 'perfect' pass lands in the palms, not the finger tips.

"Perfect" is a high bar to set.

I will say that while I would prefer Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik given this is an offensive league now. I have warmed up to the idea of Belichick simply because I can't stand seeing this defense suck anymore.

This is my biggest problem with Howie. Because I look around the league and I see other teams that built a defense that are consistent and sustainable long term. They might not be top five every year, but they don’t go from a top five defense one year to then the next year bad then the next year at the bottom of the league. this goes back to he doesn’t know how to construct a sustainable defense  cause he doesn’t draft well enough on defense and it’s very dependent on if he hits on his FA targets like Hargrave and Reddick. The eagles have these peaks like 2017 and 2022 then it comes crashing down to a point where they are one of the bottom tier defenses.

also Some of their philosophies don’t make sense anymore. Back in the day you could get away with bad linebacker play. If you go look around the league at the best defense in the league, they have good linebackers. You still have garbage there. The two years where you didn’t have garbage were 2017 and 2022 and you were actually good. Even the chiefs and reid have gone out and gotten solid linebackers. We are still dicking around with guys like Cunningham, morrow, Dean, white.

We will have wasted more prime years for our best players by then

The saddest part is that we will see the demise of Barkley.    Shame.

There is absolutely no way Belichick would want to coach here and deal with Howie, and no way they would want him here either. It's not happening. The media and fanbase would constantly call for him to take over as GM and make all the decisions. They will not want another Chip Kelly situation. They will hire up and coming coordinators or position coaches like they've always done.

Nick is not going to throw Moore under the bus. So when reporters ask him post game if he called a failed 4th down play, he’s not going to say "No that was Kellen’s fault”. You have to take what he says in the PCs with a grain of salt.

Howie has spent 7 top 100 picks on defensive players since the 2021 draft.  I don't think the team lacks defensive talent.

Oh absolutely. Just saying the two of them together with a DC in name only would be an interesting pairing. I think next year we see Kingsbury, Johnson, etc.

Under 20 points per game on offense and people want to say Hurts isn't a massive issue

He has had really nice things to say about Howie, I think he would have been open to it had Lurie picked up the phone and started a conversation.  I thought the timing was perfect, Belichick probably would have been open to a non-GM role given his age and all the criticism from New England.  He knew the Philly roster and this wasn't a rebuild.

But it didn't happen and it's too late now.  I agree with your last statement.

Vrabel is a good example of a good coach on the wrong team. With this roster I think he'd do well here.

lol most people who have poor performance 3 out of 4 weeks and continuously make mistakes would’ve likely already been fired from that company.

True but in my mind the D had to keep us in the game today as i expected the O to struggle.

Sure.   The O also had to keep the D off the field so that they could be rested in that heat.
